If we can get this to work here is that $63,000 gun I had to hump around Nam, 49 years ago. I think the DOD paid about $6,000 each for these things back in those days. The guy behind me ( Mike from Englewood , Ca ) was KIA in May, 69 , the same night I got hit. I slept on this bridge over one of the Mekong River branches when not sleeping in the rice paddies. Anyway here's the skinny 21 year old runt with the M60.

The guy behind me ( Mike from Englewood , Ca ) was KIA in May, 69 very close to me. I slept on this bridge over one of the Mekong River branches when not sleeping in the rice paddies. Anyway here's the skinny, 21 year old runt with the M60. That's awesome Hen.
Thanks for sharing these photos.
No fancy bungee slings like they have today. Your shoulder felt every little movement and shift of that gun!

Good job posting pictures. The gun looks almost as big as you. Mrs Hen did it, Hero. I'm still relatively illiterate with computers and all other modern digital stuff.

Good job Mrs Hen!

Good job Mrs Hen! Looks like loads of fun... just hate that I missed that war. Not! Dumb war...glad everyone missed it who did...cept for maybe one feller. I'm thinking of Mike today, my assist gunner, and 5 others in my infantry squad who came home in boxes.

Wow...what a photo, cpa, thanks. Nope, never remember being fully submerged but had to wade many deep canals and streams. Had to check all over for leeches when we got across.
