Memphis-- they look like the real deal...how fast up the rankings do they rise? I think they should start getting real consideration
Alabama-- I don't think they have to win the SEC to get in the playoff...I think they just need to win out.
Oklahoma-- I think a lot of people have already crowned the TCU-Baylor winner as the Big XII winner, but Oklahoma's offense has found another gear lately...
The PAC 12-- I think I have to hand The Most Overrated Conference title to the PAC 12 this year...I don't get the media love for them. I guarantee Stanford is overrated....Utah was overrated, and USC, Oregon, Arizona State, Arizona, and UCLA were all overrated!!! Seriously, what is the signature win of this conference?? Hopefully the playoff committee will see through the media hype train

I have been wondering about that Alabama scenario too.
I can't imagine Ole Miss winning out.
I watched Memphis beat Ole Miss and they flat outplayed the Rebels or bears or land sharks or whoever they are.

I can see Bama maybe getting in if Ole Miss upsets Florida in the SEC championship game. A none loss Bama would be more appealing that a two loss Ole Miss.

Hopefully the playoff committee will see through the media hype train Memphis has a very nice win and games against undefeated Temple and Houston. I think they still need a couple of 2 loss champs from the P5 to get consideration. Alabama did not look that good to me this weekend. They need Ole Miss to lose and then they control there destination. Until then they are out looking in. Looking at the 1 loss teams I don't think they stand out at the moment. Oklahoma has a pretty bad loss but has the B12 gauntlet ahead of them. Winning out is a pretty tall order but if the happens I think they are in as the P12 will continue to eat itself. I think from top to bottom the P12 has some decent teams they just don't have any team that is carrying the flag for the conference. B10 has OSU, MSU, ACC has Clemson, B12 has TCU,Baylor SEC has Bama LSU.

Either Stanford and Utah go to the final 4 if they win out. BTW the SEC is down to 2 teams and both of them could lose another game or 2.

All the teams you mentioned were ridiculously over-hyped.

There will be NO Temple/Memphis/Toledo/Houston type 'names' permitted in ESPN's post season 'Invitational' no matter what any of them do for the rest of the season. The Cartel's new post season mythical system was designed to prevent that from ever happening. Those type teams, of course, would have an opportunity to compete for an NCAA national championship if the governing body of the sport had control of the post season.

God doesn't care about pretend national championships. He follows real competition based NCAA championships.

The toughest team lost to Northwestern....each team has failed to live up to standard

BTW the SEC is down to 2 teams and both of them could lose another game or 2. If the PXII is not overrated then the BIG is highly underrated. A team that I would rate as the 6th best in the BIG (Northwestern) beat the PXII's best team and kept them out of the end zone. TSUN lost a close game at Utah and team in blue had several turnovers and overthrown passes that would have led to TD's. MSU beat Oregon (although the overthrown pass comment could be made in favor of the Ducks.)
I'd rate the BIG upper half as follows...
1. Ohio State - (8-0) 2. MSU - (8-0) 3. Iowa - (7-0) 4. Michigan - (5-2) 5. Wisconsin - (6-2) 6. Northwestern (6-2) 7. Penn State (6-2)
I think if you stack this up against the PXII's top 6, the BIG wins at 4 of the 6 games.
