because Kelly Bryant has decided it's not going to be him. Didn't 2 other QB's transfer from Clemson over the off season? Dabo has his man but he better hope he doesn't get injured. I give him credit for announcing the QB switch after 4 games to allow Bryant to make the decision he did - watch, Lawrence will probably win the Heisman.

This is ridiculous. Absolutely ZERO concern for the team. He's still ONE PLAY away from being the QB of one of the premier teams in the country. One hit on the knee of Lawrence, and Bryant is back in control. Hell, it might not even take an injury... could be a string of interceptions. But, instead of remaining a TEAM player, Bryant is going to cut and run... to, where? ANYWHERE but Clemson?
I don't think this move increases his NFL marketability one bit. I know, I would never want to be his teammate.
It's "ALL ABOUT ME".... they should call this crew the "Selfish Generation".

Let us know if you feel this magnanimous when Ohio State’s only experienced QB is transferring.

OSU actually did lose their top back-up to the transfer rule - see Joe Burrow at LSU, who's actually doing quite well for the Tigers. I'm afraid we'll most likely lose this years starter to the NFL as Haskins is a red-shirt sophomore who would most likely be one of the first QB's taken in next years draft.
I really think Bryant should have allowed for the situation to cool a bit before making the move - I'm not sure how you bail on your team in this situation, as mentioned Bryant is an injury or shitty performance away from getting back on the field.

It's unfortunate that Kelly is taking the low road here, telling ESPN he didn't get a fair shot. Dabo is all about seniority and paying your dues to a fault, so the evidence here had to be very convincing for him to make a move like this.
Depth at QB is a HUGE concern now.
It's not like Bryant did anything to LOSE the job, it's just that TL took it in competition. I think Dabo would have given KB snaps in every game regardless. As I posted earlier, it's like the Texas / Swoopes situation. KB is a perfect redzone QB because of his running ability.
Maybe you argue it as based on a small sample size or KB had a much tougher D to face in A&M...

Sounds like Bryant has been or is talking to FLA, UCLA and Arkie.

In 14 games as starter, Kelly Bryant threw 13 touchdown passes
In 4 games as starter this year, he threw 2. Trevor Lawrence has 9 touchdowns in those same four games.
Deshaun Watson 2016: 4,109 yards, 35 TDs, 13 INT, 629 rushing yds, 12 TDs Kelly Bryant 2017: 2,802 yards, 13 TDs, 8 INT, 665 rushing yds, 11 TDs Kelly Bryant 2018 (4 games): 456 yards, 2 TDs, 1 INT, 144 rushing yards, 2 TDs Trevor Lawrence 2018 (4 games): 600 yards, 9 TDs, 2 INT, 31 rushing yards, 0 TDs
The dropoff in passing stats is too large to ignore. With the playmakers in this offense, Clemson was essentially winning games last season with an armed tied behind its back. Kelly is a good runner, but his mobility wasn’t enough to overcome the lack of production in the vertical passing game.
