For all, the answer is the same: Lose ONE, and your chances go WAY down. Lose TWO, and you’re OUT! Every game matters Bama's loss to Auburn and consequent 2nd place finish in a league 'division' didn't seem to matter last season.
UCF's victories in every single game it played last season didn't seem to matter.
The concept of the big time CF regular season being some kind of playoff is totally and ridiculously bogus.

Astros play Friday about lunchtime. I have always wondered about that second question. Well, it is the 'Fall Classic'.
What MLB did to Colorado is really unfair. Obviously they didn't want them to continue - they wanted LA and Chicago to move in. I get that they had to be the road team due to their records. But to make them fly to LA, play a game and then fly to Chicago for a game the next day was very unfair. Meanwhile Oakland and the Yankees get 2 days off before they play their wildcard game tonight. Why not let Oakland and NY play Tuesday night and give Colorado a day to travel to Chicago? In the end it backfired, Chicago got 2 home games and could only score 2 runs but MLB sure did their part to help the Cubs move on. That Rockie team must be a pretty tough group.
It certainly looks like a setup. Luckily the plan blew up in their faces.

The Astros just launched back to back homers in the bottom of the 5th. Up 4-0.
Springer, Altuve and Bergman have HRs.
Verlander is mowing them down.

I keep waiting for a spokesman to emerge from a closed door conference room with a news conference to tell us what teams are permitted to compete for the league championships ( final four)

A good friend of mine from high school caught the Indian’s home run today. Wife told me about it on Facebook. I saw him on the replay.
He threw it back onto the field.
