It's obviously the SEC, but I think the ACC is a close 2nd
Even with mediocre teams this year, the ACC has schools that have a fun, mystique to them. Virginia Tech, despite having a short history and no NCs, has a really amazing football atmosphere. Miami and FSU are always hot tickets. And Clemson as an elite team really brings prestige to the conference. Of course the Notre Dame deal helps with ACC football
The Big 10 has some great watchable teams with Ohio State, Penn State, Wisconsin and Michigan. Michigan State can be an exciting team as well (what happened Dantonio???)
The Big XII has Texas and Oklahoma. TCU can make games exciting, but they just don't have the atmosphere. Oklahoma State just seems to lack tradition...
The PAC 12 suffers the most. USC and Oregon have exciting gameday atmospheres. Washington always brings a crowd. The rest of the conference seems kind of boring though. It's been awhile since UCLA has been good.
BYU is always interesting...I think that's because of their No Fear scheduling though. Boise State needs to start scheduling big names again. By the way, 2020...the Noles travel to the blue field!
Navy is fun to watch. They need to schedule more big name teams.

Not sure what makes the SEC the obvious choice. When it comes to OOC games they rarely schedule any games of interest and load up with FCS teams. The SEC has 2 dominating teams and the 4 OOC games that they have include Mid TN St, Austin Peay, GT, UMass, Louisville, Arky St, ULL, and tCitadel. Their is very little exciting about any of those games. Outside of UGA and Bama there are a boat load of offensively challenged teams which really is not that much fun to watch. I do think LSU and Auburn can put up a fight against BAMA and UGA but that is about it. Any games not including those teams really does not appeal to the national audience.
I would personally put the Big 12 on top. A lot of fire power and it is by far the most exciting conference in terms of competitiveness. Texas Oklahoma game was amazing. Texas and Oklahoma have a loss and WVU is undefeated with the best pro style QB in the country.
The ACC has probably performed the worst or close to it from the P5 conferences. It is a one team show unless NC State is legit which is hard to tell at the moment. The were schedule to play WVU at home which was cancelled and the Wolfpack was a 5.5 point dog on their home turf.
I do agree that the P12 is at the bottom.

I'm not just talking how good a team is playing, but brand, atmosphere, and general watchability NC State is undefeated, but their brand is boring. Despite having upsets once in awhile, they've never been able to establish a sense of tradition. Compare with Virginia Tech...most college football fans know where Blacksburg is. VT has established a national brand...so much so that people wanted to see how Notre Dame would handle the atmosphere. Florida is another team that has tremendous brandpower and atmosphere. They beat LSU, and they are in the spotlight again. I don't think Big XII football is all that exciting. West Virginia beat up on perennial bottom dweller Kansas while wearing ugly-ass yellow unis. The Big XII should have expanded with more exciting teams

Still always satisfying when the student-athletes dump the athletes no matter how boring.

I am clearly biased about WVU because my son goes to school there but they have a legitimate Heisman candidate. LSU did have a significant upgrade at QB but the offense is still struggling. In the last drive they had 2 passes on target and were just dropped. The Auburn QB was supposed to be the real deal and has not looked good at all. UGA and BAMA are so far ahead of the pack that the rest of the pack that the other games don't matter. This weekend by far and away the 2 games of most interest were VT - ND and Texas - Oklahoma. I tuned into those games attended the WVU game watched the Ohio State and did check out hte LSU Florida game.

Big 10 and SEC are my favorites to watch. Monster stadiums that are packed and usually noisy. I watch the most of the P12, but find your analysis to be pretty accurate. Many stadiums are at least 1/2 the size of the SEC/B10.
I don't watch much of any other conference unless it's a HUGE game or a game involving a big time program (Texas, Clemson, OU, etc) Not enough time in the day unfortunately.
