Well, I can't say I'm surprised but I was hopeful he'd return - nevertheless, Nick Bosa has withdrawn from school to concentrate on rehabbing his injury and preparing for the NFL draft. Most mock drafts I've seen has had Bosa as the #1,2 or 3 pick in the 2019 draft. To put that in perspective, Denzel Ward was the #4 pick last year and received a contract close to $30 million including a signing bonus of over $19 million. Baker Mayfield's bonus was over $20 million. To come back and risk further injury would just be foolish in my opinion.
The Bosas have been a treat to watch - I wish them well in their NFL careers - Nick may actually be better than Joey!

The crazy NFL money is definitely affecting CF.
More players are/will be skipping bowl games.

Sadly, this is the thin end of the wedge.

I agree... from a purely financial POV, it's impossible to counsel a player otherwise.. unless they're already independently wealthy.
I used to believe this dynamic would be the thing that pushes CF to a larger playoff... thinking the allure of a playoff would encourage star players to continue the college ride. But, now? I'm not so sure. If you KNOW you're going to get a $20M GUARANTEED contract? Why even risk it for a playoff?
