Here is what is going to happen...
LSU, Georgia, Alabama and the SEC I think LSU will beat Bama this year. It will really be Alabama's first strong challenge, while LSU will be battle tested and coming off a bye. The problem for LSU is it's remaining games...LSU still has Miss St this weekend. How tired will LSU be after Florida and Georgia? They also end with a road trip to Texas A&M. Get past all of that, and it's most likely a rematch against Georgia in the SEC Championship. I think that's too much beef on the schedule...Even if LSU beats Alabama, I think they'll trip up somewhere else.
Alabama will win out and probably make the playoff again with 1 loss. The schedule favors them
Ohio State, Michigan and the Big 10 Something in my gut tells me Michigan is going to win out and beat Ohio State. No one has been taking them seriously enough, and that has befitted them. Why are rivalry games so intense? It's about stealing your rival's chance at a championship. Michigan has taken the brunt of the rivalry lately, but I think Harbaugh wins this year...giving Michigan their long-awaited Big 10 Championship and playoff bid.
Clemson and Notre Dame I see Clemson winning out...I think they'll end up as the top seed. Notre Dame's schedule is tricky, and the limelight makes every game so intense. I think someone trips them up, but I think they'll still get in at 11-1
PAC 12, Big XII, and UCF No, No, and NO. UCF still plays too many good teams and they have a target on their back. That road game at South Florida might do them in.
The PAC 12 is already eliminated.
Which leaves the Big XII...I think the Big XII champ will need to have 1-loss, and they'll need many teams ahead of them to lose twice. Not gonna happen. That Maryland loss looks U-G-L-Y for Texas. Oklahoma hasn't beat anyone of note.
--------------------------------
So there you have it....
#1 Clemson #2 Michigan #3 Alabama #4 Notre Dame
Ohio State, with 1-loss, is on the outside looking in
#1 Clemson vs. #4 Notre Dame #2 Michigan vs. #3 Alabama

I'd agree this is the "most likely" scenario.... Given what we know.
But, regardless of what Hen says, actual PLAY matters.... And, we still have a LOT of that to go.

FSU has great players and eventually they will learn to play well together.
I hope this happens right before they play Notre Dame.

I know... the regular is a championship playoff and every single game matters as far as pursuing that championship...therefore, the championship playoff game that I can hardly wait for is Citadel @ Alabama on Nov 17th.

If Citadel is the team that kills Bama's title hopes, I'll be the most shocked person on the planet.
But, do you not agree that: A Bama loss to Citadel would EXCLUDE them from CFP consideration?
I'm not sure they'd be selected, even if they went on to win the SEC. Probably would, I guess... But, they'd need some darn good reason for losing to Citadel.. Something like, Half the team was out with the flu.

What if....LSU wins the SEC with one loss
Clemson goes undefeated Ohio State goes unbeaten And Notre Dame goes unbeaten
In that scenario I thinks its 1)Ohio State 2) Clemson 3) LSU and then there will be a debate between Notre Dame and Alabama.....but I think Notre Dame will get the nod over a one loss Alabama.
Or
Michigan beats Ohio State Texas wins the Big 12 but drops a conference game for their 2nd loss
Could you possible have 1)Alabama vs Ohio State
2) Clemson vs Michigan

LSU still a one-trick pony, IMO.
Elite defense, questionable offense.

Also conventional wisdom is Clemson is in, if they only lose one game......why is that? I mean just from the eye test the Big 12 has been signifanctly better than the ACC this year. If Notre Dame goes undefeated, Alabama, Ohio State and Notre Dame.....I don't think its a guarantee Clemson gets in over a one loss Oklahoma or a one loss Texas. I think we've all gotten use to saying its okay, but is it really? Not if the committee really takes schedule strength into consideration. The Big 12 has been second only to the SEC this year

I truly see nothing exciting about this prediction... My honest to goodness predictions I think Alabama wins out, but will be tested on the road at LSU and narrowly survive I think Michigan loses to either Penn State or Sparty.....look Michigan beat an obviously flawed Wisconsin team that lost to BYU earlier in the year....not a good BYU team mind you a 4-3 mediocre BYU team. This years Wisconsin team lived off the reputation of last years team.....Michigan did what they should have done, but this is also a flawed Michigan team that almost got tagged against Northwestern. I'm,not buying the hype......they'll lose to Penn State or Michigan State and until they beat Ohio State.....I won't predict them to beat Ohio State. Michigan is a 3 loss team and Ohio State will win the Big Ten over Iowa. Notre Dame will lose along the way to USC. Texas will win the Big 12 I'm not sure Clemson won't get tagged by someone and get knocked out of the playoff picture along the way....can I see Miami doing it....? Or NC State? Boston College? Yes I can and I'm gonna predict it will happen. Clemson will lose and there will,be a debate between them Oregon and ND for the final playoffs spot...... It goes to Clemson So my projection is this 1) Alabama 4 Clemson 2) Ohio State vs 3) Texas

NC State is probably the toughest remaining game on Clemson's schedule. BC will be a tough contrst as well, as will a trip to Tally.
Clemson's D is doing what it is supposed to do, and the offense is heating up as we now have a consistent deep passing threat.
Finley is a really good QB and probably will be on Sundays as well. He gets the ball out quick.
State likes to run 3 wide, which will put a lot of pressure on the 2ndary.
Venables like to drop the DE's into passing coverage and fire an LB in these situations. Ferrell, Bryant and Wilkins are all capable of dropping into coverage from their DL positions and have done it with regularity. Their athleticism allows them to cover in the flats and the intermediate crossing routes.
Clemson must get to Finley without having to bring the house and not allow State to convert 3rd downs.

LSU still a one-trick pony, IMO. Elite defense, questionable offense. LSU is coached better than when Les Miles was there....they have great coordinators, and can actually pass the ball this year. The usual MO was to out-muscle every team. That worked with everyone except Alabama. the coaching has improved
