We're heading up to visit our daughter and going to the game in East Lansing tomorrow. It's supposed to be pretty cold which Mrs. Doc is not too happy about. I also think it's snowing up there right now so it may be a sloppy field. I'd expect the MSU QB, whoever he is, to have the game of his life as many before him have. Dantonio has a way of giving Ohio State fits in games in East Lansing.
I hope our linebackers show up... I hope we keep Brendan White on the field after his display last week... I hope we're able to run the ball... I hope Dwayne Haskins is able to throw the ball in sloppy conditions....
And I hope Mrs. Doc doesn't freeze to death
I'll have a full report on Monday.

I hear that consuming copious quantities of beer can prevent freezing.
And, it promotes FUN!

We had a great weekend visiting our daughter - I'm extremely biased but she is a great kid, We're so proud of the young lady she's become. It was cold and a bit windy in East Lansing but we were able to brave the conditions. The Spartan fans were very friendly and hospitable. The game was a slugfest for 2 and half quarters but then Mark Dantonio made a call that totally changed the tone of the game - trailing 7-6 he called for his team to intentionally take a safety so they could kick from the 20 yardline. The Buckeye punter, who's first kick netted 3 yards and landed in the 10th row of the stands, spent the rest of the game nailing punts inside the 5 yardline making it tough on the Spartan offense. So Dantonio figured it worth giving up 2 points to flip the field position. This move backfired when the MSU kicker kicked the ball OB on the free kick and the Bucks took possession on the 50. From there, OSU just let the MSU QB's self destruct and the Bucks got out of East Lansing with a W. I have to believe the wind was swirling on the field - the QB's had a rough day qnd MSU's ground game was non-existent. Kind of a strange, game day vibe. I'm used to Buckeye fans en mass but even though there were 74,000 at the game, it felt like there was hardly no crowd at all (Except when I had to take a leak, what a joke that was). I think the less than solid year has subdued the Spartan faithful or maybe they're just not as over the top as Buckeye fans. So scratch another stadium off the list - still need to get to Happy Valley.
Hopefully the pic works - here we are at Spartan Stadium...

I was going to suggest that you tone down that "Sparty wears a dress" stuff while in Lansing! :-)
Looks like a good time was had.

That's right you went to the MSU game with us last year. My buddy who chants that resorts back to his pre-teen days occasionally at games. After watching him play on Saturday, I wouldn't have been surprised if the Spartan fans chanted 'Lewerke wears a skirt!' - he was horrible.
I think we talked about you coming up to the Minnesota game this year - we kind of messed that up. One of our other buddies was diagnosed with a bitch of a blood cancer right before that game. He owns a couple Qdoba restaurants and they catered the Buckeye Club luncheon prior to the Minnesota game - we all went up to help him in serving the 3,000 guests. I was slinging chicken for nearly 2 hours but it was great to help him out, he's got a tough road ahead.
