Ohio State played TCU in the third week of the season....Oklahoma played them in week 7 when they had their backup QB starting and had lost 3 of their last 4.Bevo my friend check your facts You're correct. My apologies, on that point.
I made the mistake of believing what I read.. rather than checking the facts for myself.

LOL.. just another day in the Big 12. The O/U would be close to 100... and, I'd still bet the OVER.
It's pretty rare, when having to decide between the last two teams, for them to actually have a common opponent. In this case, they do... and, OU was clearly BETTER against TCU that Ohio State was. Even OU's defense played better. I think that will carry more weight in the decision than "style points".
I suggest, all you Ohio State fans go out and buy some Longhorn caps and jump on the Hermann bandwagon. I think we might just give you the boost you need.
A BAMA shirt might be a wise decision as well. I do have a Bama hat and unfortunately it didn’t quite work last year😳. But I’m not above giving it a second shot!!

My honest opinion is this... Ohio State is probably the better team, and probably more talented, but I feel they have underperformed versus their schedule. Ohio State lost to Purdue, and had close games against Nebraska and Maryland. They haven't shown themselves to be a dominant team all season, only in the Michigan game. I don't think a Northwestern win helps them much. Despite defensive woes, I think Oklahoma has answered the call when they needed to. Even in the loss to Texas, you got the feeling that if there were 5 more min left, OU would have pulled ahead and won that game. Kyler Murphy looks like a legitimate heisman candidate. OU has an oppurtunity to make a statement. A huge win over Texas will send them to the playoff. They will avenge their lone loss. They are prepped for it Oklahoma has outperformed Ohio State versus their respective schedules. One game does not a season make! What you said is pretty much spot on. The question the committee has to make is how comparable is OU to tOSU. It sounds like you have given a slight edge to OU but is it enough to put them clearly ahead of tOSU. tOSU has been in this exact same position every single year of the BCS ending up in the inside 2 times and outside 2 times. What it typically ends up coming down to is who does the committee think the better team is. It's pretty sad but style points will make all of the difference this year.

It really comes down to this, does having the 2 best wins trump having a far worse loss? OSU is 4-0 vs teams that were ranked in the top 25 including 2 top 10 wins. Oklahoma is 2-1 vs the top 25 but no top 10 wins. I really don't see how OSU can jump Oklahoma if the Sooners are ranked higher tonight. Assuming they both win, Oklahoma faces a higher ranked team so how does OSU jump them?
2014 was different - OSU beat a top 10 Wisconsin team while TCU played a poor Iowa State team - I can see that jump. (Plus the Big 12 didn't differentiate a tie breaker rule).

lol No problem Bevo. I have a lot of respect for Gary Patterson and the TCU program so when they aren't playing Ohio State I try and keep up with them a bit, I knew TCU fans were complaining about the injuries midway through the season. We're all on the same side this week so Hook 'Em Horns!!!!!
