Interesting to see what happens with Ryan Day should Meyer retire, does he get the head job? Luke Fickell was named coach of the year in the AAC, does he get a look somewhere? I think Brohm goes to Louisville and Maryland should retain Canada but they probably won't. Do you think LF would be a serious candidate at Ohio State? I don't know - the interim year didn't go well but I don't know who could have pulled that off. Fickell had to learn a ton coaching under Tressel and Meyer and you won't find a truer Buckeye than him, he totally gets what it is and takes to be a Buckeye. He's a great defensive coach - he'd need a great O coordinator.I think he would be able to maintain the recruiting but maybe not as nationally as Meyer. But lets face it, anyone replacing Meyer faces a difficult task and there isn't a coach out there who would be an upgrade - at least a coach who Ohio State could get.

It's been 5 years since Mack last coached and a decade since he had a good season. That's a long time in CFB. Ask Bevo and other folks in Texas how they felt about 8-5. And he had a lot more talent and resources there than he'll have at UNC. I work with a former App State player and grad -he's originally from the Charlotte area. He's pretty excited about Mack coming back to UNC. For one, they didn't get the App State coach but secondly, he thinks Mack could hire Chizik and Kingsbury as his coordinators and play more of a CEO/PR type of head coach role. He thinks UNC will be back in a couple years.

I have heard whispers he might take his talents westward to USC.

It's taken that long for us to finally as many games as in Mack's last, *Terrible*, season...
That said... I don't like Mack's coaching ability, nor his ability to properly evaluate talent. Our program was stagnant after Mack fired Gregg Williams.

Matt Campbell seems to have jumped to the Top of the Target list for Louisville... now that Brohm has firmly turned them down.
