Love watching option football. Doubtful GT will remain an option team, there's still Army and Navy!

Interesting to see what happens with Ryan Day should Meyer retire, does he get the head job? Luke Fickell was named coach of the year in the AAC, does he get a look somewhere? I think Brohm goes to Louisville and Maryland should retain Canada but they probably won't.

Louisville would be a lateral move... maybe... probably not even that really. Brohm has "promotion" on his mind, and he thinks he can get there with continued success at Purdue.

Paul Johnson was a great coach, good luck to him in the future.

That's a hard rumor to buy. Tennessee lost out on its best choice ( Greg Shiano ) , imo, when the students protested.

Freeze will probably need a bit more spit and polish before he gets a high end HC job.

It's been 5 years since Mack last coached and a decade since he had a good season. That's a long time in CFB.
Ask Bevo and other folks in Texas how they felt about 8-5. And he had a lot more talent and resources there than he'll have at UNC.

IMO, the Buffalo head coach, Lance Leipold, would make a dandy hire for a name brand program wanting to build. Heard the hosts of the 'Full ride' CF radio show on Serious talking about it yesterday after interviewing him. Amazingly, he made the jump from a DIII program directly to the FBS and turned in a nice 10 win season....at Buffalo !!!That Univ has got to be one of the most difficult places to recruit to and play at. Coach Leipold is the HC that basically ended Mt Union's domination of the DIII (real) national championships. Leipold won 6 national titles from 07-14 at Wisconsin-Whitewater. Remember this name, boys. This guy knows what he's doing.
Here's his Wiki :
