GAMES TO WATCH:
No. 17 Utah vs. No. 11 Washington, 8 p.m. (Friday) No. 14 Texas vs. No. 5 Oklahoma, Noon No. 1 Alabama vs. No. 4 Georgia, 3:30 p.m. No. 2 Clemson vs. Pitt, 8 p.m. No. 21 Northwestern vs. No. 6 Ohio State, 8 p.m.
Crazy Stat: Pitt will have played 3 of the remaining 4 unbeaten teams this year.
The committee may be faced with its toughest decision yet.
I think people tend to put too much stock into HOW Ohio State beat Wisconsin in 2014 than simply THAT they beat Wisconsin, while TCU and Baylor sat at home unable to claim an outright championship, perhaps incorrectly assuming the former had more to do with their jump in the final poll than the latter.
I’m not saying the margin of victory didn’t help at all, necessarily, but I think it’s overblown.
This is really all about hating on Urban Meyer. And while I get it and won’t argue either side let’s at least be honest in our arguments.
OU has a great offense. But how many great offenses out of the Big XII have we seen go kaput over the years? Too many. And what is clear is that their defense is probably not even better than Wake Forest or South Carolina.
OU over tOSU is sketchy at best, but tOSU is no darling either.
The Committee screwed up last year by putting Bama in, and they’re likely going to screw up again by putting UGA in if tOSU and OU both lose.
They should have taken UCF last year, but there’s no redemption for the Committee’s souls this year.

They can take anybody they want for this invitational only bowl event. Serious , non gullible CF aficionados know that the DPI is not an FBS championship playoff.

Were they also some of the 18 million, on average, that watched the NY6 and CFP games?
Or are they some that spent $7.3 billion dollars on college football?
What can't we just enjoy it?

We're hard to find among the CF fan masses that buy anything the cartel wants to sell......and yes, Bevo, they enjoy the PSEGS very much and love watching CF. Just saying, a small portion of the masses knows what a real playoff is.
