Just dummy down the schedule SEC style. It is crystal clear that playing a pathetic OOC schedule has absolutely no negative impact when it comes to the selection process. The BIG needs to implement the following policies immediately: 1) Replace the 9th league game with an FCS rent a win 2) Schedule no more than 1 OOC game vs FBS P5 teams. In scheduling these games, they either need to be home and home or in a neutral site that is closer to logistically to the BIG team.
If we followed these policies this year Both NW and Purdue would have had an extra OOC win. The standing could have possibly look like this: tOSU 12 - 0 scUM 10 - 2 PSU 9 - 3 MSU 9 - 3 Indiana 7 - 5
Maryland 6 - 6 Rutgers 1 - 11
NW 10 - 2 Iowa 9 - 3 Wisc 8 - 4 Purdue 7 - 5 Minn 7 - 5 Neb 8 - 4 Ill 8 - 4
TigerCPA was dead on when he says the SEC has gotten the benefit of the doubt every time since 2006 This year how does a 2 loss SEC LSU stay ahead of 3 1 loss P5 teams after they got waxed by BAMA How does UGA stay ahead of tOSU? I didn't watch any of the selection show because it is an idiot festival. But I would bet top dollar Pollack and Palmer were all talking about the so called eye test when it came to UGA. Back in 2015 the eye test was not mentioned one time by these morons when looking at tOSU.

Good stuff guys. The SEC's cowardly ( but wise) scheduling is a huge factor in mythical system success and the exhibition post season. Very, very common knowledge. I've known this for 15 -20 years. The pollsters don't care, this 'so called' CFP committee doesn't care, ESPN/ABC absolutely doesn't care...so why should the SEC man up ? These components of the mythical system only care about other non SEC teams with a not too strong season schedule.
