It's a sad day in Buckeye Nation. I tuned into the radio this morning and Clay Travis was already piling on going back to the domestic violence issue and how tOSU was in a decline? I really do hope that Urban is stepping down for health reasons and nothing else. The whole domestic violence issue was a fiasco that was based on little facts and lots of assumptions similar to our political press today. Ohio State screwed up when they did not fully back Urban and reinstate him immediately. I would assume this was a big part of why he made the decision to step down. Looking back at his seven years he had a grand total of 9 losses. He had a total of 7 losses that regular season\CCG. How does a coach that averages only 1 loss per season only make it the the playoff\BCS post season just 2 times in 7 years??? It was an amazing ride and gave me one of the best moments I have experienced in person when the Buckeyes put it to Bama. Ryan Day may be a good coach but I can gaurantee you that the other 13 coaches in the BIG have a big smile on there face. In the end the ESPN, Clay Travis, Brett McMurphy won today. I would assume that their relentless attacks took a toll on Urban. It just gives me another reason to tune out the media when it comes to both sports and politics.

I was listening to Golic this morning and they brought in Finebaum - I immediately turned the channel. The worst part of this whole thing is jerks like Finebaum, McMurphy and Travis will gloat about it - well, I'm not going to give them the satisfaction to read or listen to anything they have to say. The First Team did have a very fair interview with Joel Klatt who was able to give perspective from the view of someone who's actually talked with Urban.

Very sorry for you Buckeye Fans to hear this news... He will be HARD to replace. But, I have to believe this is the right thing for Urban. He clearly is "not well".
I hope he's finally able to relax, a little.. and enjoy life. He has given PLENTY to the football world.

Finebaum, IMO, is the absolute biggest fraud in all of sports journalism...and a jerk He is spineless and weak. I remember when he was talking to Joey Galloway about the Kapernick kneeling situation. He asked the questions to Joey about what is the kneeling all about? Instead of Joey answering the question he went off on Finebaum calling him racist, incensitive.... Galloway could have taking the opportunity to explain why but I am pretty sure he was not for certain to why Kapernick chose to take the knee at the time. Personally, I had no clue at the time and actually was trying to figure it out. Then in the next 3 days ESPN and the group of Idiots lambast Finebaum where he was briefly suspended from his show. He then came back like a puppy dog between his legs and begged Joey for forgiveness and his lack of sensitivity.
I would love to see the BIG cut all ties with ESPN even if that means that can't be part of the MNC.

I am SO GLAD that I have freed myself from any and all ESPN listening. I go to their website every now and again.. But, I NEVER listen to them...or watch them.

My rants from previous years are directly related to those bozos. Could I actually be maturing??? Naw I still despise the SEC even though I do appreciate the our fellow SEC posters.
