NBA Finals Observations: Toronto is much more athletic than Golden State. I think this is a real series and Toronto has a legit chance to win this thing, I didn't think about this before but the Raptors have athletic wing defenders that are making Curry and Thompson earn clean looks. This is a real live series folks!!!!

lol I forgot to watch the show last night.
Sounds like the writers accomplished their goal: Make the sheep think Toronto has a chance.
Let me guess how it went:
- Calls were fair. Maybe GSW even had MORE fouls called? - Curry shot less than 50%. - GSW had a lot of turnovers - Athletic Raptors were allowed to block shots without fouling. - Raptors got the crowd in the game early, and kept them cheering all night.
Is that about how it went? And, you're buying it?
ROFLMAO!
You obviously haven't seen this show as many times as I have.

Gasal has to remain a force throughout the series, he played great can they win in Cali? Golden State will turn it on there

I watched the game with a skeptical eye for rigging...Curry played really well calls went to Toronto, but nothing blatant like the GS-Houston game 1 Toronto legitmately has a good team, they played well. I think this is the biggest, most physical team Golden State has played against in the finals. The Cavaliers had Lebron, but the rest of the team wasn't all that great

I saw the second episode of the NBA Show last night. Looks like they are starting to reveal the final plotlines. More tight calls favoring GSW. No Durant... yet.
Champs win, rather easily....
I wonder if they'll allow Toronto to win a game out west? It would help the ratings. But, I'm not sure they can credibly pull it off.

As much as I hate to agree there were ALOT of questionable calls that went Golden State's way yesterday. Steph Curry hockey checked Kyle Lowry on an out of bounds play and the foul was on the Raptors.....that made say what?! Also last night Steph Curry bear hugged Kyle Lowry and almost got away with it as one official called a jump ball, but the other official called a foul on Curry. Apparently that ref wasn't on the take.....the Raptors had 4 players with 4 fouls, before the Warriors had any...… Draymond Green was allowed to mug Kawhi and on one occasion shoved him out of bounds...….no call unbelievable.

Why would you hate to agree with me? I'm ALMOST ALWAYS right! It gives me no pleasure to tell people that the NBA is scripted. I grew up LOVING the NBA... with Jerry West, Oscar Robinson, Wilt Chamberlain, Pistol Peter, Kareem Jabbar, Larry Bird, Magic, Olajuwon…. It took MANY years of watching 100% bogus foul calling to convince me that it was rigged.... way back, in the 90's.... Oddly, it was the Bulls Finals victory over the Utah Jazz that finally convinced me. I had zero interest in EITHER team, and no money wagered. But, I watched every game. No reasonable person who watched that series could come away with ANY opinion other than: It was RIGGED for the Bulls. Since then, I've been looking for evidence to convince me otherwise. I've never seen it. Still can be interesting, at times... just like Pro Wrestlers, these guys are incredible athletes. They put on a good show.

It's kind of like telling kids there is no Santa Claus. My oldest son didn't believe me for many years... He LOVES the NBA.
But, he now admits... (at least, to me... maybe just to shut me up?) … that it's rigged.

I don't necessarily disagree on the scripting, but there are definitely legit questions to ask that go in the face of scripting why are some finals sweeps? It makes more sense that they would draw it out why aren't more big market teams better? We don't ever see good Knicks teams. Why would they let "boring" teams like the SA Spurs win 5 titles?

If I fully understood how and why they did this, I'd move to Vegas and be rich.
I don't think they script entire seasons, or determine the fates of each team. Owners and players still have something to say about that. I just think the outcome of SOME games. (Maybe, many? I don't know) is pre-determined. Maybe, the refs have their graft collection system so well refined, either team is able to outbid the other?
Or, another explanation: Some teams are just SO MUCH BETTER than the other that even cheating refs can't force an outcome... at least, not without exposing themselves as the frauds they are.
