1) Clemson' 2) Bama 3) Ohio State 4) Notre Dame 5) Iowa 6) Baylor 7) Stanford 8) Oklahoma State 9) LSU 10 Utah
Three teams with a loss ranked above Ok State (Bama, ND, Stanford)
I guess I could see Bama and ND... based on their schedule. But, Stanford?? I don't think so. They lost to Northwestern! And, barely beat Washington State. What's so overwhelming about their schedule that would place them above a team that is 9-0, and just recently beat the #4 team?

I really don't get Iowa jumping over Baylor? It's not like Iowa has played anybody, or racking up huge 'style points'... (which, are SUPPOSED to not be counted anyway).
Seem clear the committee doesn't approve of the Big 12 style of playing football. They love the B1G way of doing things.
Odd, given that last year was the first time in 5 years that the B1G has had a better bowl record than the Big 12. In the past 15 years, the Big 12 has a pretty high win % against the B1G... 40-25. More than 60%.
I don't see the B1G as being so much better than the Big 12 that a team like Iowa should be jumping anyone as a result of a meager effort against Indiana.
Oh well...it doesn't matter.. yet. But, I don't like where this is headed. I'm worried this committee would rank a 1-loss Ohio State or Notre Dame over an undefeated Big 12 Champion.

She got her courage from mom.
I think the Big12 team that wins out will be fine. It is tough to pick a B12 team until then.IMHO
Is Baylor that good or is it just a schedule that totally sucks...who knows?

OK Bevo here is my impression of the discussion by the committee. That Stanford team has played 8 power 5 conferemnce teams in 9 games 2 of whom are ranked by our committee. there early season loss was to a power 5 conference team currently ranked 18 by the committee. OK St on the other hand has only played Non power 5 teams OOC . There in conference foes have a combined record , excluding TCU, of 12-24. OSU could win out and not get picked because their opponents have been that bad. If Stanford wins out they will have won a CCG and beaten the #4 ranked team and likely 4 other ranked teams in the process..

BUT, if the Big XII champ has a loss, and you have Notre Dame sitting around with just 1 loss, I think ND gets in

The only way the PAC 12 gets in is if the Big XII champ has a loss OR ND loses again OR the SEC Champ has 2 losses The PAC 12 does NOT control it's own destiny

B12 has no CCG, all the other guys get a CCG to play a highly ranked team and show there stuff. Thats all academic, as there is small likelyhood of a B12 undefeated team, say 1 in 3. in 3 shot.

Well ND doesn't even play CCG and will play one less game. If they get in over a one loss power 5 conference champ, to revisit Butter's quote from yesterday....there's gonna be heck to pay! Heck to pay, I tell ya!!!

Stanford has only played TWO OOC games thus far... they LOST to Northwestern, and beat as WINLESS UCF team... That doesn't impress me much. Why is the committee so impressed?
Beating TCU was a more impressive win than ANY on the Stanford schedule at this point.
Once thing for sure, either Stanford or Notre Dame will lose.. at least one more game. So, it'll likely wash itself out. But, I see not justification for them being there right now.

If ND makes it then TWO CONFERENCE CHAMPIONS GET BUMPED. That would be a shock.

If ND makes it then TWO CONFERENCE CHAMPIONS GET BUMPED. That would be a shock. Beating TCU was a big move forward for OSU. If they end up running the table, beating TCU, Baylor, and Oklahoma?? I think they deserve to be IN the CFP over ANY team with a loss not named "Bama".
There's just not THAT much difference between the Big 12 and the Pac 12 to justify elevating a 1 loss PXII team over an undefeated Big 12 team.
Granted... BOTH Teams would be "deserving" of a chance to play for a title.... but, for now? We only have FOUR spots. Deference should be given to UNDEFEATED teams, who have played a comparable schedule.
