I wonder how long Ogeron will remain at the helm. I think last year he walked into the perfect situation with Burrow and Brady and it paid big dividends. He clearly is doing well recruiting but they will be lucky to be bowl eligible this year. When they hired him, it seemed like a bad decision but they again he did win a championship. My take is that as long as he is the head coach they will be just a mediocre team moving forward. I thought the same about Dabo and obviously I was wrong on that call. I guess time will tell.

well, they lost staff and A LOT of good players
I don't think Bo Pelini has it anymore, so they might have to get a new D Coordinator. There may be some complacency at LSU as well...I certainly don't think Orgeron is on any kind of hot seat
What LSU accomplished last year is legendary in college football. JMO, but it will take a few shitty seasons before there are any rumblings...LSU has been one of the most successful programs in the last 20 years.
I'm not too concerned about LSU in 2020...

Do teams get better the longer Ogeron stays?
I can’t remember any.
When he stays long enough to put HIS TEAM in place, well I remember him being one of the worst head coaches in Ole Miss history.(which is saying something)

You can't fire a guy 1 year removed from an NC - plus they lost a ton of talent to the NFL. (BTW, Joe Burrow has been remarkable for the Bengals despite playing behind a make shift line.) I think O is in no danger but if they're still losing like they have been this year in a couple years that could be troublesome.

I know he is not in any danger this year but I just don't see his teams excelling and would not be surprised if he is gone in a couple of years. On a positive note he is still doing well on the recruiting front which is half of the battle.

As a program, LSU is not a fluke or a flash in the pan. Just look at all the NFL talent they consistently produce.
However, the 2019 LSU team was lightning in a bottle and a fluke.
