The PAC-12 announced last week that if a game got cancelled...... they would begin to allow teams to schedule Out of Conference games. Washington and Washington State got cancelled........ the Huskies reaches out to BYU to play a nonconference game...... and the Cougars AD completely and uttterly dropped the ball on this one. Reportedly BYU wanted to see where they would rank in the rankings Tuesday and turned down an offer to play a pretty good Udub team in a move that makes absolutely no sense if you’re trying to reaching the CFP.

That game would have been a great benefit to the winner.

Yep - they would have played a power five team on the road, that’s a nice win if you can pull it off. UC and BYU both have an open date in early December but my guess is they won’t play because they won’t be able to agree where to play, as if home field this season really matters.

If you are Cinncy, do you take the chance and schedule BYU? Or, do you let it ride and hope the Committee comes through for ya?

They may want to schedule the Steelers in an off week.

I also think that winner would still need a shitload of help to make it - chaos would need to ensue.

If they win then it was BYU played no one from the start then BYU drops to the mid 20's. In the end this probably does not convince the committee to promote UC ahead of aTm. If they loose then it is a done deal.

There are no 'paths' for , so called, G5 teams. Let's not let this fantasy-land, alternate reality, spill over to CF regarding the invitational.
