Lots of great games this weekend...might as well start one thread about them...
Tom Herman's Houston Cougars are strapping it to Navy. But, the mid-shipman are still fighting.
I don't know when I've seen the loss of one coordinator affect a team as much as Herman leaving OSU. The Buckeyes, with many of the same players, have STUNK on offense all year.... And, largely because of play calling.

Western Michigan whipping Toledo today.... That's been a very competitive conference this year, the MAC.

You are right - the MAC has several solid teams.
Houston killed Navy on third down conversions, 16 of 19 for Houston, 4 of 11 for Navy.

Washington stuck it to Mike Leach and Wazzou.

Well, TCU got their revenge against Baylor. What a slop fest. It was raining so hard, neither team could run more than 5 plays without fumbling. After TWO overtimes, TCU prevailed.... Taking Baylor out of any shot at the CFP. Now, Oklahma is the last team standing. Not really fair to Okie State..... But, I don't think they have the reputation required to win votes in the Beaty pageant.
Injuries, and evenly matched teams at the top de-railed the Big 12 this year.

So where does Herman land in the coaching sweepstakes ? Stays at Houstan for another year with a raise to mid level of current successful power 5 coachs salaries. Moves to Austin in 2017 when the Charlie Strong experiment is declared a failure. That will give him a year to shake down the richest program in college sports.

Any way we can accelerate that schedule? Maybe, Charlie and Tom can be "co-coaches"... Defense and offense?

So where does Herman land in the coaching sweepstakes ? If LSU is smart...well. Chip Kelly or Sean Payton to USC. Kirby Smart to South Carolina unless Georgia does something. Fuente to Virginia Tech. Herman might wait.

Penn State is the ONLY P5 team with a winning record that Ohio State has defeated this year.

This is why I hate the targeting rule: OU's QB just got BUSTED in the head, with the crown of the OSU players helmet.... No call. it's so inconsistent.
Given that Mayfield had a concussion jus last week, I have to wonder whether that hit will affect him.s
