Clemson
This weekend showed how dominant Clemson can be when they come together fully as a team, and how Alabama has the same weaknesses they do every year
Alabama can blow the doors off of any team until they cross paths with that one team that has equal coaching and talent. Florida shredded the Bama defense pretty well, granted that they have a future NFL stud TE. But Florida has no defense. Clemson probably has one of the best defenses in the country.
I think Mac Jones will see more pressure than he's ever faced against Clemson. The Brent Venables D is magnificent in action. I foresee a replay of the 2018 Championship

As much as I’d like to see it, I’m not sure even Venablea can scheme to cover Waddle, Smith and also stop Harris.
Extremely tall order for any defense to hold that offense in check for 60 minutes.
I thoroughly enjoyed the beat down of ND, as I am sure most did.

Notre Dame is a very good team this year, and Ian Book was scrambling for his life after the first quarter. Clemson has a pretty good secondary too.
I saw some vulnerabilities in Alabama at the SEC Championship, while I saw what Clemson 2020 is truly capable of when everything is on the line
we shall see

I think Sermon must have an incredible game to beat Clemson, and they have to punch Clemson in the face and be physical with them.
The best way to beat Clemson is keeping TLawrence off the field....
If Clemson bottles Sermon and establishes a commanding lead, it's over

Despite a world of talent in Columbus, the Buckeyes have not been able to find a good rhythm this year, likely because the number of cancellations the team dealt with due to COVID-19 cases. Ryan Day has also had some interesting game plans on offense that have made a normally high flying offense appear stagnant at times. On defense Ohio State appears to be vulnerable, perfect for a Trevor Lawrence-led Clemson offense. Trevor has upped every facet of his game over last year. Clemson is healthy and peaking at the right time. Seems to me the Buckeyes are not as sharp on either side of the ball compared to last year.

The school that plays the “holier than thou (literally)” card at every opportunity and yet harbored the college football fugitive known as Lou Holtz for eleven (11!) NCAA violation infested years, deserves every ounce of scorn you can muster.

Keep in mind OSU played without 23 and 22 players the last couple games. They were down 2 defensive ends and a starting LB against Northwestern. Having Olave out really hurt, too. He'll be back for the Sugar Bowl. Fields had no rhythm on Saturday which is concerning - they said he may have sprained his thumb but i haven't heard confirmation on that. I've been waiting for almost 2 seasons for OSU to do something offensively that I feel would open things up considerably but it hasn't happened. Now would be the time to do it. On second thought, maybe OSU should just give their spot to Texas A+M or UC since no one thinks they have a shot.

They should say you're either all in or you're out, don't provide them with a schedule. On the other hand - thery're going to get 2 cuts of the playoff pie so maybe it was the right thing to do...I would guess ND will have to share their share but who knows.

we shall see You'll have to score every possession because Alabama most likely will. Creating some turnovers will be key - I think the final will be something like 56-49, similar to the Florida game.

They will, Swofford negotiated that up front. They also have to share their coveted NBC TV revenue.

After watching Trask shred Bama's defense, it gives me more hope. Trask is no Trevor. I imagine Bama would open as a 5 to 6.5 point fave over the Tigers.

Providing that Clemson dispatches OSU, I'm really looking forward to the juicy coaching match up of Venables vs Sarkisian...two supreme coordinators. What a chess match it will be ! ...a California boy vs a Kansas boy coaching Southeastern teams. Only Sarkisian has NFL coaching experience if that might be a tiny edge or not.

OSU has 5 coaches with NFL experience, including head coach Ryan Day, but I'm not sure that really provides an edge. (It certainly hasn't for Jim Hatbaugh!) And OSU put up 516 yards of offense against Venables' defense last year and LSU had close to 650 in the championship game so teams with comparable athletes can and will exploit the Tiger defense. Thing is, there isn't a team in the ACC with remotely close to comparable athletes.
To quote Dennis Green of Minnesota Viking fame....'If you want to crown them, then crown their ass! But, they are who we thought they were, and we let them off the hook!' That's the way I felt about last years game - OSU let Clemson off the hook. That and the refs taking a TD off the board...
