What a coincidence. The list is split, right on that “arbitrary” line of distinction: P5 vs G5. Maybe the press (who invented the names) got it right ?

However how about these factoids :Temple and Boise State , each, have more current NFL players than 1/2 of the , so called, P5 teams. Heck, FCS Harvard has more current NFL players than 4 , so called, P5 teams...6% of P5.....Harvard ! I say. The same Harvard than mandates its players to be able to read and write on the college level and speak in complete and coherent sentences.

There is some overlap between teams, but NONE between conferences. And, really.. very little even between teams. It's largely a matter of money. But, I think we can both agree: Money doesn't guarantee success.

Agree . Maybe money can buy success 85% of the time in sports. I don't know where that # came from...just made it up I guess.
In my count I actually found that the very top of the 63 scholarship FCS is just as talented as the very bottom of the , so called, 85 scholly P5.(by NFL standards)
Here it is mixed together :
James Madison - 7 Wake Forest - 7 N Dakota St - 7 Harvard - 7 Arizona - 6 Syracuse - 6 Chattanooga - 5 E. Washington -5 Idaho -5 N. Iowa - 4 Illinois St. - 4 Ferris St. - 4 Delaware - 4 Kansas - 4 S.Carolina St . 4 Iowa State - 3

The Big Ten’s combined win percentage is only .500 this year. a bad year! In the SEC, this would be called "having great depth in the conference" by the analysts.

The Big Ten only played in conference games - they can only be .500. I’d think a CPA could figure that out😉. If the SEC Figured a way to have a higher than .500 record playing only conference games I’d be interested in how they did it. I know the ACC played some OOC games.

The Strength Everywhere Conference is one of CF's ongoing myths I knew you would like that one, Hen. They were ragging on Danielson for his usual CBS propaganda. The SEC going .500 in conference is a display of power, parity and depth.
