Marshall captured the NCAA soccer championship last night with a 1-0 overtime win against Indiana. How does Marshall attract elite soccer players to Huntington, West Virginia? Well, I just looked at their roster and they have over 20 international players including several from Brazil, Spain, New Zealand and other places. Their soccer team must have an impressive recruiting budget!!

He didn't even know they were playing until I called him. Such is the hype (or lack thereof) for the FCS.

You can be a Sam Houston Univ grad but not a sports fan, I guess.
Congrats to the 'imported' Marshall soccer team.
Our local HS soccer team won a state championship with a roster full of Mexican kids. The local hilljacks never heard of soccer.

He couldn't get in to UT. But, he did get into the Navy. Where they taught him the skills that have earned him a nice living.

....and speaking of 'imported' talent on championship sports teams, congrats to the 2021 SEC softball champions...the Arkansas Razorbacks, powered by 12 California gals, including coach of the year, Courtney Deifel.

Marshall beat Clemson 1-1 (PK). The Tigers were the #1 seed in the tourney....just couldn't get the penalty kicks to go after 2OT with Marshall.
