(This is a cut and paste) ABSOLUTELY LOADED. I just came to the realization yesterday that every single scholarship receiver on Ohio State's current roster was a top-100 prospect coming out of high school.
... except Chris Olave.
Let's take a look!
2021 – Emeka Egbuka (#9)
2021 – Marvin Harrison Jr. (#96)
2021 – Jayden Ballard (#98)
2020 – Julian Fleming (#3)
2020 – Jaxon Smith-Njigba (#29)
2019 – Garrett Wilson (#20)
2018 – Kamryn Babb (#73)
2018 – Chris Olave (#399)
So basically, the only thing keeping Ohio State from claiming that every receiver on the roster is top 100 recruit is the best returning receiver in college football. Cool!
Also hearing former USC 5 star Linebacker Palaie Gaoteote is transferring to Ohio State - he's on campus and has appeared in several pictures with the other Buckeye linebackers - they're just working out the paperwork before an announcement. Steele Chambers, a running back recruited out of Georgia is switching positions to linebacker. And over the weekend OSU picked up a commitment from the #1 defensive end in the 2021 recruiting cycle, JT Tuimoloau, out of Washington. The #2 defensive end in the cycle, Jack Sawyer, is already on campus in Columbus and participated in spring football. He gave up his #33 to Tuimoloau as part of his recruitment. 3 pieces that should fit in nicely to the defensive rotations. September 2 cant get here fast enough.

Sorry Bevo - and 2 of the guys are from Texas; Wilson and Smith-Njigba. Although I understand Wilson moved to Texas because of his dad's job - apparently he's originally from Ohio. In fact, only Jayden Ballard played HS football in Ohio - the rest are from across the country.

Great news for Buckeye Nation. If we had a hole to fill it was at the LB position. Pretty comfortable with the QB position. They battle will be fun to watch but the winner will have a load of high end targets to connect with.

Yeah - since he entered the portal prior to the NCAA ruling players could get an extra year and not need to sit out a year if transferring, they have to jump through all the red tape hoops to get him cleared for this season. If the NCAA rules against him it will just be another example of how lame and petty they can be. I think they're pretty confident he'll get cleared.

.....and just a reminder that 10.3 % of all wide receivers listed at the Pro FB Hall Of Fame came from Ohio State. Could we call OSU WR U ?
Did I happen to mention that .0000000% of all legendary HOF wide receivers came from the 'entire' SEC ?

University of Dayton has more pro football HOF than South Carolina, Vanderbilt, and Mississippi St combined.

Key word there is: FRESHMAN. Have seen several Texas reports that he may see significant time by mid-season.

Key word there is: FRESHMAN. Have seen several Texas reports that he may see significant time by mid-season. If he can run and catch, he should easily make it on the field. We don't have many other kids who can do it.
