With Clemson going down, and so many teams looking pretty good, I think we could see new teams in the playoff this year.
As competitive as the Big 10 is this year, I could see Ohio State losing again. Oklahoma is bound to lose a game or two as well...
Look at these teams playing well so far:
Texas Iowa Florida Oregon
Penn State Michigan Michigan State Notre Dame BYU Cincinnati Arkansas??
I think the playoff is alot more wide open than its been in awhile...Alabama is still cruising, but Clemson is out and Ohio State and Oklahoma are treading water. IMO, Texas is looking really strong in the Big XII.
The Big 10 East is loaded...Ohio State's schedule gets a lot harder from here on out
Next week we get Georgia vs. Arkansas and Notre Dame vs. Cincinnati. Both of these games have huge playoff implications. If Cincinnati defeats the Irish, can they realistically start looking at a shot at the playoff? BYU is still hanging out there too
Wake Forest is emerging as a top ACC team this year...it will be interesting to see how they do each week.
And then there's Michigan...is Harbaugh building a real team there, or just getting everyone's hopes up again? They play Wisconsin next week

So... this week I see a 5 team race Georgia Alabama Cincinnati (Big 10 Champ) Texas
I see these teams moving into the top 5 soon. Cincinnati should be top 4 after the Penn St-Iowa game.
If OU can beat Texas, I'll put them up there...but they've been living on the edge too much lately
