I was surprised when Auburn let Malzahn go, and I predicted a year ago that we would start seeing Auburn suck bigtime
And I think we are close to that now...
Auburn's remaining schedule is:
@ LSU Georgia @ Arkansas -BYE- Ole Miss @ Texas A&M Miss St. @ South Carolina Alabama
Maybe Malzahn wasn't the greatest coach when you start to analyze his track record, but what I do know is that he had some significant wins against Alabama, which has truly been a feat in the last 10 years. When his teams gelled, they were pretty good.
I feel like Auburn wants to think they are an elite program like the Alabamas and Ohio States of the world...but they are not! I don't like who they got to replace Malzahn, and I think they are about to spiral downward. We shall see how they handle the next three games

When you fire a coach you might need a plan in place to hire a better coach.
I can imagine most good young coaches have nightmares about coaching at a place like Auburn. Struggling yesterday does not bode well when looking at the schedule.

Struggling yesterday does not bode well when looking at the schedule. They really need to beat LSU this weekend, and that's going to be a chore
I think Auburn gets crushed by Georgia
And then its off to play Arkansas on the road...they could be profusely bleeding by the time they get to their bye

I fully agree. They fired a position coach today...yep, that should solve it.

Bryan Harsin
He may be better than I originally thought. Auburn has come out in better shape, and they don't look half bad...
Are they the third best team in the SEC? we shall see

I liked Malzahn because he seemed to run a clean program. Auburn didn’t have the embarrassment that we saw in 2012 with Chizik (not the W/L but the arrests, etc.) during Malzahn’s tenure.
If Harsin can run a clean program and be somewhat competitive, I’m happy. I liked Malzahn and he gave Saban the most trouble out of any coach, but I think his time had passed.
I can’t think of a worse place to be in college football, between Alabama and Georgia. Good luck to Harsin.
