There is a law written by the college football gods, that if you are a team reaching the pinnacle, at some point you run into those creeps in South Bend.
Miami ran into them in the late 80s: Catholics vs. Convicts
FSU ran into them in '93 and lost, but thankfully BC knocked off the Irish later
Clemson lost to them last year, but got a second chance at them
Georgia barely beat them in South Bend in 2017
USC barely beat them with the Bush Push
So this weekend, Cincinnati travels to South Bend to try and prove themselves to the college football world. This is Cincinnati's shot at claiming they deserve to be in the playoffs, and possibly the biggest game in Bearcat history. Should be a good game.
