So the latest polls are out...
Alabama drops to #5 lol....what do yall think? Are pollsters too biased towards Alabama or is that where they legitimately should be?
For example, why is Alabama above Ohio State? Ohio State's loss is to #9 Oregon, while Texas A&M, loser to Arkansas and Miss St, is #21
Penn State's only loss is to #2 Iowa
Michigan is undefeated
Also, Texas A&M beat the #1 team in the country, but they are behind Florida, who lost to Alabama...makes sense
5-1 Baylor still not ranked lol

It’s crazy.
Bama, should clearly STILL be #1.
I guarantee, on a neutral field, Vegas would favor them over ANY team in the country.
Yes… ANY team.
Probably, any TWO teams combined.

Completely disagree with that statement. The way teams are playing right now I would defiintely take 2 teams: UGA: They have a very good defense and can run the ball really well. Only chink in the amour I see is a mediocre passing attack. Considering QB injuries and a decent performance against Auburn I would put my money on the the Dogs. tOSU: Three weeks ago after the Buckeyes were taken to the woodshed against Oregon in a 7 point loss I was the first to say that if this is the way the Buckeyes play it will be a 3 to 4 loss season. The team is very young and has had to deal with a lot of injuries. That being said the Buckeyes are clicking on all cylinders at the moment. They switched out play calling on the defense and pretty much put a hurt on Maryland who has a pretty good offense. Offensively there a simply no weaknesses. Stroud has gotten better and better and he is throwing the ball to the best receiving corp in the country. Keep in mind Alabama's number one receiver is a transfer from Ohio State who was at 6 or 7 on the depth chart. If you thought Jameson Williams was good just imagine having a roster that has 6 receivers better than he is.

Clearly there is a bias in the polls. I see no justification to BAMA being ahead of Ohio State per your argument. Then again I always thing there is a bias against the BIG and tOSU:) Only 5 BIG teams in the top 10? C'mon Man!

It's all about HOW you lose, WHEN you lose, WHO you lost to, and... how you looked BEFORE you lost. Bama answers all of those questions pretty well. Do you disagree with this? IF BAMA played ANY TEAM in the nation next week, on a neutral field, Vegas would make them the favorite?I talk a lot of smack.. for fun. But, I TRULY believe the above..... as a guy who follows betting lines.

The good news is there are a lot of games to play and as usual, this will all work itself out - the teams who don't lose from here on out will get a chance, the teams that don't probably won't. Not going to worry about being ranked #6 at this point. Just keep getting better. Frankly, I don't see any B1G team holding Ohio State under 45 points and I don't see teams like Iowa, Michigan and Michigan State being able to score that much. I also don't see Penn State having much success if their QB is out for a few games. We'll see.
To Bevo' point - if Bama plays any of the top 10 teams on a neutral field they'd be favored with the possible exception of Georgia. UC can't beat Bama, Iowa can't, Oklahoma wouldn't, Ohio State surely couldn't last year, Michigan would get housed, it's comical. They do appear to struggle in road games this year so I guess there's that but i expect them to bounce back and I wouldn't want to be the next team on their schedule.

Of the remaining top 10 I think tOSU would have the closest line with BAMA but would likely be on the short end. I also think by the end of the year both UGA and tOSU will both be favored on a neutral field with BAMA. As you are well aware I tend to wear my homer sticker on my sleeve but I really do think tOSU will run through the remainder of the schedule without a hitch.

As of today, Georgia is the betting favorite for the CFP title... just barely, over Bama. So, maybe they would be favored. But, no one else... as of NOW. Of course, things change depending on how they continue for the rest of the season. If Bama and Georgia played next week, at Jerry World, and it was a "pick em" bet.... I'd take Bama. Bet, I wouldn't be betting much.

Way to many emotions between those teams to get any feel for what the outcome would be. The site I went to had UGA number 1 as well Buckeyes were number 3. UGA +130 BAMA +200 tOSU +1000 Oklahoma +1500 Got a feeling the Buckeyes will tighten this up a bit by the end of October.
