that were called out for cheating to win WS titles in 2017 and 2018, Houston and Boston, are now playing for the AL Championship and a trip to the World Series. Maybe those teams were just better? I've been a Red Sox fan for a while so I hope they go all the way but whoever wins the AL, I hope they win - especially over the Dodgers. I wouldn't mind if Dusty Baker got a championship, as well. The Reds fired him for fricking Bryan Price and they haven't done squat since.

Sports betting is sometimes all luck, a little knowledge and sometimes bad luck. I had some really bad luck this past weekend as I had Tampa winning the World Series and Cincinnati as part of a Football parley. Tampa I figured was a solid bet on the baseball side as I figured at worst they were the third best team in baseball and were close to winning the World Series last year. The payout was 575 on a $100 bet so I took the chance……. Only to watch that Saturday night a Red Sox player kick the ball over the fence…… normally you’d penalize the team that did that right? Tampa had guys on second and third and would have taken the lead on the Red Sox going into the 9th inning, which could have actually altered the entire series drastically…….. it gets called a ground ruled double, which was actually the correct application of the rule……. But if that ball doesn’t get kicked and go over the fence I actually think Tampa scores at least one run if that ball stays in the ballpark. Cincinnati…..smh lol and I didn’t bet on them but to top it all off I’m a Browns fan lol

Go Stros!!!
We only started cheating after bringing in players from the Yankees and Red Sox that taught us how!

Cincinnati…..smh lol and I didn’t bet on them but to top it all off I’m a Browns fan lol While it was an unfortunate bounce, I've watched the replay numerous times and to say Renfro kicked the ball over the fence is a bit of an exaggeration. It bounced off the wall with a tremendous amount of spin, hit Renfro's thigh and spun over the fence - he actually went after the ball. A rule is a rule and the correct call was made, much to the chagrin of Tampa Bay fans and folks who had money wagered on the Rays. As for the Bengals - I think what the kicker did was harder than making an actual FG - I mean he hit the upright and the upright flag on consecutive kicks, he'll probably never do that again in his career. Very disappointing loss for the Bengals, that was a game that was there for the taking but instead of blaming the kicker I blame the Bengals offensive plays for being way to conservative in OT. They could have gotten the ball a lot closer had they been a bit more aggressive. The Browns? I'm not a Brown's fan - as a Buckeye fan I'm so glad I don't have to root for Baker Mayfield (although I like his Progressive Halloween commercial). The Charger kicker missed 2 PAT's in the game. The Chargers were basically in PAT distance at the point where the Brown pushed Ekelor over the goal. Why let them score? And honestly, if the Chargers didn't want to score, why hand the ball off and move forward - take a knee. Just a very weird ending in my opinion.

As a Buckeye expert, what's your opinion of Trey Sermon? I really expected him to have won the 49er's starting role by now. But, they seem to prefer ANYBODY They can pick up off the street to Sermon.

I think Sermon is one of those guys who gets better the more he touches the ball. He didn't get as many touches early in the season last year but when he did start to get more he was a beast. So I think he gets better the more he carries the ball. I don't think he's had many games in SF where he's carried the load and the one game he did, vs Seattle, he had a pretty good game. I think Shanahan is an over rated coach (maybe due to who his dad is) and he made a mistake picking Lance but we'll see how that plays out. Sermon was only at OSU for one season but he did have a huge impact when they started using him as the featured back.

I 'll typically pull for the playoff team with the lowest payroll- in this case the Atlanta Braves, plus Freddie Freeman might be my favorite current player. Haven't these playoff games been dramatic so far ? Can't wait for tonight. Your Reds and My Phillies gave it a run but the Cards and Braves deserved the playoff slots with their great 'crunch time' play. Wait til next year !

Now that the Dodgers and Braves have advanced to the NLCS, I'll be pulling for whoever wins the ALCS to win the World Series.

I hate that terrible, terrible check swing call that ended Giants/Dodgers game 5. Maybe add that situation to replay reviews ?
