Last week the USA Men's National Team played Costa Rica in a World Cup qualifier. I have played soccer my entire life but never had a huge interest in watching the sport other than the World Cup. This qualifier was in Columbus where they build a new stadium. It ended up being a perfect night for soccer. Went with my brother and we hit a bar in the arena district for a little pregame. Then marched over to the stadium as fans were marching with their drums doing whatever soccer chants they have. The game started and within a minute Costa Rica scores a goal. This put the USA on attack the entire game. The get one in the first half and a second one in the second half. The cool thing was that the crowd was very much into it. Every build up on the attack the crowd would get louder and louder. Although the USA one 2 -1 one they completely dominated the game and this was an environment that I never experienced before.
USA plays Mexico in November in Cincinnati. The tickets we got for Costa Rica were under $100. Mexico is in the $300 range. Can't say it is worth $300 to me to go to that one but if the get into the mid $150 I could probably go for that. Doc\Bevo, both of you are pretty close by. If you get a chance to go to it I think you would thoroughly enjoy it.

I've been to several FCC games, the stadium is beautiful. My wife's company is one of the team sponsors so we've gone with her company tickets and we were guests of FCC in their suite a couple weeks ago. (We know the team VP for partnerships and broadcasting.) I'm not a big soccer fan and the FCC team is pretty bad but the fans and supporters sure do have a great time. Bottom line, unless some freebies for the game are offered I probably will not be attending.
