Rumor mill says they are looking at FAU, Charlotte, North Texas, UTSA, Rice, and UAB.
Rice and UAB have been hinted at on other boards
This would be a massive chunk taken out of C-USA
Other rumors have stated that Southern Miss is close to a deal with the Sun Belt, and that Marshall has had some desire to get out of C-USA as well
If all that were to happen, that would leave Western Kentucky, Middle Tennessee, FIU, Old Dominion, Louisiana Tech, and UTEP in C-USA...
Perhaps they can add some independents like New Mexico State, UMass, and Liberty. What would Western Kentucky and Middle Tennessee do? It's not unreasonable to think they might look at the MAC. Would UTEP look at the Mountain West (even though the MW said they weren't expanding)?
As the dominoes fall, it looks like C-USA will take a massive hit, with the Sun Belt surpassing them in G5 order...of course this isn't too surprising, with the Sun Belt really performing strong the past few years.

One of the rumors is CUSA and the Sun Belt merging or combining and splitting into 2 more geographic oriented conferences. That could be a good thing

Looks like, per reports I've read, Sun Belt may be going after S. Miss, ODU and Marshall in the C-USA and having James Madison move up to FBS.
