I'm telling everyone, Notre Dame is hunkering in the shadows right now, but when the season is done, I think they have an opportunity to be 11-1
I think as other teams play each other and lose, ND will move up the rankings. They're going to look very attractive for the playoff at the #4 spot
Remaining Games:
vs. North Carolina vs. Navy @ Virginia vs. Georgia Tech @ Stanford

I still have a feeling that Notre Dame will make the playoff this year....It's looking very likely they will be 11-1
They're moving ahead of Oklahoma this week, most likely up to #8
Next Week they'll move ahead of the Ohio State-Michigan State loser to #7.
If Ohio State beats Michigan, they'll move to #6
If Georgia beats Alabama, they'll move to #5
All they need is an upset somewhere along the way....maybe Utah over Oregon next week? Maybe Houston or SMU over Cincinnati?
Don't overlook the Irish making the playoff

Yeah, let’s give Georgia (or Bama) a bye to the finals. ND’s schedule is laughable but if everyone loses I guess anything is possible.

Notre Dame is now a Stanford win and Alabama loss away from the playoff.

I don’t like it but the committee will use something to push ND into the top four…”eye test” “best quality loss”. “Hairs on the back of the neck”. Whatever.
ND creates buzz and money.

Notre Dame has an aspect of academic integrity relative to the other CFI contenders

I really don’t think a 2 loss Alabama makes it in, unless that second loss is to Auburn and they beat Georgia for the SEC Title. Bama this year by Bama standards has not looked dominant……. I think a One loss Big 12 champion or Cincinati will be in over the Tide especially if the Tide struggles with Auburn too

If Notre Dame makes it over an undefeated Cincinnati it will be the biggest joke since Notre Dame made it last year after getting drilled in the ACC Championship game. Notre Dame lost their toughest game on their schedule and their second best game was a win over Wisconsin which I doubt they could duplicate if they played again. But down the stretch they've played nobody, NOBODY! They say UC isn't playing anyone but they will play a ranked team in their conference championship. Notre Dame hasn't played a ranked team since UC back in early October. They simply can't put that team in the playoff - period.

Georgia's biggest win is....Clemson. Think about that

Well I think Clemson would beat Wisconsin - which is ND's best win. Georgia has no control over how good teams like Florida, South Carolina, Kentucky, Tennessee and Auburn may be but it is pretty bad that they play Charleston Southern and UAB.

Yep, Clemson played UGA within 7. 3 points to the offense. Nobody else even close.
