Caveat: Anything can happen
That being said, I think MSU is close to having the east sown up. I watched the Michigan-Michigan State game and the Ohio State-Penn State game. At least at this point in the season, Michigan and Michigan State are clearly a notch above Ohio State and Penn State. MSU would have to lose twice for Michigan to take the east and I don't think that is likely. I expect both will win out. In the event of a three-way tie involving Ohio State, Ohio State is out du the OOC loss and MSU still gets the title based on Michigan head-head.

I strongly disagree and would be willing to put a wager on it.

No need for popcorn. He's entitled to his opinion - I don't happen to agree but I'm sure you wouldn't expect me to. Plenty of strengths and flaws for the Spartans, Buckeyes and Wolverines - and they better not overlook Purdue (MSU) or Penn State (MSU,UM) in those match-ups. The trip to Maryland prior to OSU could also be tricky for UM. OSU goes to Nebraska and has Purdue at home. A lot of football yet to be played!

I'll add that the win over Michigan was MSU's first win this season over a team with a winning record, despite having the B1G's worst pass defense in the conference. And yet, thanks to Michigan's inability to hold a 16 point lead late in the third quarter - both those teams are CLEARLY a notch above Ohio State and Penn State. OK...

Let me answer his prediction with my own On December 1rst the top 4 of the Big Ten East standings will be
Ohio State 11-1(8-0) Michigan State 10-2(6-2) Penn State 9-3(5-3) Michigan 9-3(5-3)
I think Penn State is the second best team in the East with a healthy Clifford period

Ohio State better work on their PUNT BLOCKING! Sparty, in his dress, likes to block punts!
