I think the Braves had the 16th highest team payroll. Love it. But, in general, $ does buy success in most team sports....CF a blatant example.

Not sure if you were responding to me, just saying Notre Dame isn’t that impressive of a win in my opinion. Don’t really care about where MSU is ranked to be honest, nor does it really matter. Yes it does! The SEc has the highest one loss, two loss and 3 loss ranked teams think about that! It’s almost as if the committee just slapped Miss State at 17 just because they won a couple SEC games and had a decent record at 5-3…… let’s totally ignore they barely beat Louisiana Tech 35-34 and they lost to a Memphis team having a DOWN year. It shows a lack of actually homework by the committee and an SEC bias…… well we don’t know a lot Miss States total resume but they have a couple good SEC wins let’s ranks them above a couple 1 loss and 2 loss teams because they’re in the SEC. Hell I would have been okay with Arkansas at 17 and they’re SEC too but they at least have some solid wins……… And a solid better overall resume. But if a loss to Memphis didn’t drop MSU from the top 25 why did SMU’s loss to Houston drop them completely from the 25? SMU and Memphis are in the American so same conference only SMU got beat by an opponent having a much better season…… they’re building the case Cincinati didn’t play anyone by making sure the opponents they could face aren’t in the top 25….. I’ll buy what you say, that they’re biased and want to exclude Cincinnati. Until we have a real playoff, I’m all for such bias. They’ll do it regardless of what MSU is ranked. Doesn’t matter what they’re ranked. And you should be happy about the SEC bias. We all should. That is how we get the system changed. SEC teams dominate the system because of bias and then it gets changes to be more inclusive. The irony is that the Big 10 troglodytes resist change those most, slowing the progression toward a real playoff, while also whining about the current system. You should be cheering SEC bias, hoping for 3 SEC teams in the playoff. That’s how we will get a real playoff sooner.
