Which comports with my assesment of Sumlin. He did well at Houston with an inherited QB, Keenum. Made a big splash at A&M with an inherited QB, Johnny football. Now with his own recruits to acquire and develop he is laying an egg. Remind's me of Denis Francione. Had one good player, LaDannian Tomlison, and parlayed that into coaching gigs at A&M and Bama. Reality caught up with him as it will with Sumlin.

It doesn't help that he's in one of the hardest divisions in college football....
Ole Miss Alabama Auburn LSU Miss St Arkansas

Thats why he gets the big bucks, to win in the SEC west. However after his splash with Johnny Football it has been downhill. My guess he is gone in 2 years.

I keep poking at my Aggie friends, asking them how they're loving the SEC schedule. Had they stayed, they'd likely have two Big 12 titles, and three more wins over Texas.
My heart bleeds for them.

I can't believe Kyler Murray would leave.... He's a "super Aggie" legacy player..... Something bad must be going on.

I always thought it was crazy how after Johnny Football left they had like THREE five-star QB's sign within a year or so of each other. So it was not surprising that one or even two would eventually transfer but all three???

A&M is in trouble IMO....they need to start gaining ground in the SEC West, or else Sumlin WILL be on the hot seat.
They've been living off of that Bama upset too long now...Chavis has made the D better, but now they need to get the offense churning again
