I am not sure about the most of you but ever since we have started the CFP my interest in Bowl Games has gone down to almost nothing. If you are a top 4 team then sure the post season is awesome. But for the other 126 teams or 97% of teams for that matter you get relegated to a bowl game that is becoming more meaningless with each passing year. Since the start of the CFP we get more and more players deciding not to play because they don't want to risk injury and start prepping for the NFL draft. Now we have the transfer portal where literally hundreds of players have submitted there names and many of these players are starters. Here is a link to the list which includes many starters including several starting QB who are going into the portal. www.on3.com/news/the-2021-22-college-football-transfer-portal-tracker/I for one am not even that excited to watch my own Buckeyes who are in the Rose Bowl simply because the games just don't mean as much. Look at last years UGA UC game. UC out played UGA especially in the running game and lost primarily due to bad clock management. Then what do you here regarding this outcome. The only reason the game was close was because of the early NFL departures??? Pretty sure the lines were not part of those departures. Anyway, no matter the out come of any of the games they are given diminished credibility due to the early departures. Time to just tune out and of these exhibitions and maybe some day they will go away.

I have enjoyed the top bowl games MORE since the CFP started. The way they're choosing the matchups is giving better, more interesting pairings.
I don't bet on bowl games, so... I don't care about the Lines.
But, it's been a LONG TIME now since, only one (now two) games matter for the Title. The other games are just, fun.. and, interesting. As they always have been. Now, just more interesting.
Bowl games aren't going away. They're good for tourism, and for partying.

Its been a strange relationship with the regular season relative to all other sports.
For example : MLB and NFL start with an exhibition season, go on to a regular season and culminate in a championship post season.
Major CF begins with a regular season and finishes with an exhibition post season.
Can anybody think of any other team sport, pro or amateur, that does that ?

Try to make up some of my losses with the Army cover over bet. Lost both sides of that one. I think that and the Buckeye collapse have turned me into a bitter old man. I may need to drive down south and get some of that moon shine to get an attitude adjustment.

Stay away from moonshine. Go for the good stuff!

I love the bowls and the pageantry...but I totally agree that the postseason is seemingly more dysfunctional every year
The entire postseason needs to be revamped. I'm not sure what the answer is....maybe the 12 team playoff?
I think college football in general has been tinkered with A LOT in the last 20 years, and we are seeing the outcome of it more and more every year.
Honestly, I'd like to see a massive college football playoff, completely integrated with the bowls...where teams that win their bowl move on.
I also think the conference championship games are completely useless....seriously, what was the point of Michigan beating Iowa? Imagine a world where Michigan won the Big 10 after beating Ohio State, and then the following week was the first round of a playoff, which lead into bowls that were structured in a playoff format.
Something with the sport today is waning...it's not working properly. The regular season is fine...The conference championship games are useless, and then everything flows into a broken, aging postseason model....

College football is not a sport, it is a business. Unless outside forces act, we will further consolidate until there are two teams competing for the championship, both of which will be from the SEC.
The SEC rednecks will love it, watching ESPN broadcast 6 hour games with 4 hours of commercials. Which SEC team is the best? Which outside will join the SEC next? Michigan and Ohio State?
