It is being rumored here that UNC, UVA, Clemson and FSU are in negotiations with the SEC. If that happens, the ACC will be scrambling. Only thing that could save it is Notre Dames elects to become a full football member & the ACC adds a 2nd school, maybe WVU. This will allow them to renegotiate the TV deal

Hearing both that it is true and that it is not true.
Since June 30 has passed, the Pac-12 teams are not in a huge hurry to make their decisions. The current issues are a Notre Dame decision and the ACC GoR. If the rumor above is true and the GoR can be resolved, watch for a lot of movement. Big Ten wants UNC and UVA, but ESPN "might" prefer them in the SEC.
One thing that is definitely true: usual sources are VERY quiet which usually means things are happening behind the scenes. Other than the Pac 12 statement on expansion and the CU and ASU press releases (sounds like lip service), there has been nothing. Notre Dame usually has a statement out quickly about their independence. Nothing, which, to me, means everything.
All of this could ride until we get closer to next June 30, or we could see the dam break before this season begins.

I'm thinking VT will cost a super conference more $ than revenue it would produce so the Hokies aren't exactly on anyone's alignment wish list. Does this sound right to you, JH ?

Barring a national brand like OSU or Notre Dame, I think North Carolina would be number one on the SEC List.
