Hawkeyes have only given up 59 points in 6 games and they're 3-3! They've only scored 88 points total - Ohio State scored 77 in one game. They've scored 9 TD's in 6 games, Ohio State had 11 against Toledo. It must suck to be a Hawkeye fan - to have a solid defense and be unable to score.

119 FBS wideouts have more receiving TDs than Iowa's entire offense through 6 games this season.

It's an injustice, for sure, that the CY Young award selectors didn't recognize that Nolan was the true GOAT.
Koufax, R.Johnson, Carlton, Maddox, Scherzer, Kershaw, Clemens, Martinez, Palmer and Seaver accounted for 38 Cy Young awards.
Nolan....zero

Not even in the year he won 22 games, pitched two no-hitters in 50 days, and broke Koufax’s single season strikeout record (383). A record that still stands 49 years later and looks to stand for ALL time! The press was full of Nolan-haters. Whatever …

After what happened in 2017 when Iowa blitzed the Buckeyes, I’m hoping Ryan Day and crew will be able to put up 50+ on the feeble Hawkeyes!

Why did they hate Nolan, IYO ? . Same reason some people hate Belicik, and Brady, and Saban. Haters gotta hate. Also, Nolan wasn’t like them. He was pure ‘country hick’ and didn’t get wrapped up in their media hype.

Hmmmm....personality. Interesting. Glad to hear it had nothing to do with erratic control and almost perfectly average winning success. He was a Cy Young runner-up in one of his better winning seasons.

He was a Cy Young runner-up in one of his better winning seasons. Nobody that ever watched him thought he wasn't any good. I think, when a player is THAT good, sportswriters just look for any excuse to vote against them. Same reason Peyton Manning didn't win the Heisman.
