Guys, today is provably the last chance, playing @ Baylor, to put a conference loss on TCU. They’ll be able to handle Iowa State at home next week. And then a probable rematch with KSU in the CCG. The Frogs can handle that.
As improbable as it seems, TCU’s new coach is going to start with an undefeated season. And as much as the CFP committee and Dr Pepper HATE it? They’re going to get their first invite the playoffs…. Where, they will likely get crushed by far superior athletes.
The Frogs are having a Cinderella season. But first, they have to get by the fired up Bears. This might well be the most entertaining game in the country today.

FYI. By the way,TCU is missing their top 2 wideouts today. They’re vulnerable.
This Illinois vs Michigan game is pretty fun too. I mean, for a conference that is so horrible. ;-)

OMG! I hope you all watched that finish.
29-28 TCU on a last second FG, after running on the field with 14 seconds left…
Coach says they practice that scenario every day.
Max Duggan, the TCU QB is a gamer.

Other than my Buckeyes I’ll be rooting for TCU the rest of the year….. they’ll probably lose in the playoff by 30 but who knows?

I’m just getting back from a week in the Mid-east.. been sitting in the airport at Detroit watching Illinois-Michigan on Tv, and TCU-Baylor on my phone. Fun way to pass 2 hours when you’re so tired you can barely think
TCU has had a magical season. It reminds me of Texas in 2004. VY led so many incredible comebacks.
And then, we beat Ohio State in the Rose Bowl. In what other sport can you NOT win a national title, but still win your last game and feel GREAT about the season?

Alot of assumptions in this thread...
IMO, TCU is going to have a very hard time beating Kansas State again. K-State has hit another gear with Howard at QB...
Also, IMO, the Big XII is overall the best conference right now. There are some good teams at the top, but no gimme games.
I don't know if TCU has the wheels to win it all, but I could see them giving Ohio State and Tennessee some issues. TCU has a couple of WRs that will be in the NFL.
The massively overrated team IMO is Michigan. Barely beat Illinois today. I think Ohio State is going to roll them next week.
but ya, comparing conference strength THIS season, the Big XII is much better than the Big 10
Also, looking at the SEC...ya you've got excellent teams at the top, but then you have your clunkers, like Vandy beating the Gators today. U-G-L-Y

I notice... no one has a comment for this. Honestly, that season was as satisfying to me at the National Championship season the following year. It was "just a bowl game". But, beating OSU in an exciting game in the Rose Bowl was an awesome way to finish the season. Much better than losing in a semifinal in a huge playoff.

Lol Texas didn’t beat Ohio State in a Rose Bowl…. They beat Michigan 38-37 I remember that game with my pops they did beat Ohio State in 2005 in a regular season game.
