Went to game last Saturday and felt pretty good at halftime. Buckeyes led and Michigans TD's seemed to be somewhat fluke like on broken defensive plays - i didn't expect that trend to continue. Really disappointed in the second half defensive effort. It was also disappointing - as I learned after the fact - that the long snapper blew it on a fake punt call which could have completely flipped the narative.
I felt the double penalty after the Buckeyes took over the ball at mid field in the 3rd quarter was the turning point. First and 35 is not an ideal situation! Still, had they executed the fake punt who knows what might have happened. Really disappointing.
Anyway, it is what it is. There are 125 other teams that would love to be 11-1. I think the talk about replacing Day is ludicrous - he's 45-5 as a head coach, unfortunately 2 of the losses are to Michigan. I certainly didn't expect them to never lose to Michigan again but 2 in a row is a trend that needs to be thwarted the next time they meet which will be tough since it will be in Ann Arbor.
We were all set to go to Indy today, the Big Ten weekend is always a blast. But not when OSU is back in Columbus. I'll probably take a peak at a couple games but now I'm looking forward to the Bengals/Chiefs game on Sunday....WHO DEY!
