Conference bowl records have NEVER been more meaningless. I’ve been reviewing these games closely. There are SO MANY players missingz. It’s ridiculous.
I think there are 30 players out for this UNC -Oregon game.
They’re not close to the same teams

UCF is missing half their starters. No way would Duke be favored over them a month ago.
Texas is missing their two best RB’s and leading tackler.
Yet somehow, Washington is missing NO ONE ??
It’s crazy.
Over-under on UNC-Oregon is up to 75.5. Lol

Well. Lost on Kansas, but hit the OVER… so, a push
Hit a parlay of TT plus the Under on the late game. But, OMG… that was one of the hardest Unders I’ve ever had to sweat out. Tech could have easily won, TWICE, if their guys would have fallen down. But no… they HAVE to try to score TD’s. The first guy didn’t even score. Got the ball knocked out of his hands and through the end zone. Just stupid play.
But, it turned out well.
Trying to decide if I bet on Texas, or not ? PAC10 has looked pretty pathetic so far.

Sure agree about the general meaningless PSEGs......However, it's comical to think about the perspective of blowhard SEC types and media hypers. If the SEC was 4-0 at this point instead of 1-3 and having the bowl season highlight of a 3 overtime narrow escape vs a a team that won just 3 conference games it might, indeed ,prove the vast superiority strength everywhere, just meaning more, dominance of the league....just like the SEC's losing bowl record last season including getting whipped by 3 of 4 , so called, G5 teams. Winning is proof of something. Losing is meaningless. Now, of course, this is not in any way directed to the SEC guys in this forum who are astute, realistic and intelligent.....it's the perspective of the masses of those that are sold and buy the ridiculous level of hype.

Bowls not related to the BCS, or CFP have long been relatively meaningless. But the addition of this transfer portal have made them a complete farce. North Carolina had 17 players out, including their entire Defensive backfield.
They lost to Oregon by 1. What does that say about PAC 10 strength ?? Not much

I tend to agree the narrative changes based on the results. In the bowl games all teams are hit by the transfer portal or sit outs for the draft. It certainly does take some of the meaning from the game but I would not call them meaningless. That being said the SEC has looked really bad through the first half of bowl season. Minnesota currently has the lead. If they hold off then the B!G will have there max bowl wins projected by EV.

Everything has meaning IF it supports the narrative I want to believe.

Everything has meaning IF it supports the narrative I want to believe. I said years ago bowls other than playoffs are dead. Coaches seem to value the extra practices and I'm sure the little trips are fun. Otherwise, just PSEGs.
