With the rise of NIL, who would you say would be the most marketable college athlete in the last 25 years?

King James, of course, never played college ball....right from HS to the NBA all star team. Try that in baseball.

It's been 44 years since that has happened and they didn't get a sniff of being 'all stars'.

Nolan spent 3 seasons (65-67) with the minor league Marion Mets, Greenville Mets, Williamsport Mets,, Jacksonville Suns, and Winter Haven Mets before securing a permanent roster spot with the MLB New York Mets.

The history of professional baseball is very interesting. You should look into it. High school players are drafted EVERY YEAR by MLB Teams. Four of the first five picks in the 2022 draft were HSers with many more in the first round. This is nothing new, it happens every year.

Tebow / Vick / Zion
All easily in the top 5. Zion had massive hype, only stayed 1 year.
Everybody loved Vick....ESPN, SI...etc. Put on a show in the Natty.

Hero, Hero, Hero...c'mon. We're talking making a major league roster directly from a HS roster......not getting drafted. Common knowledge tons of HS kids get drafted and get assigned to minor league teams.....not major league teams.

You are wrong. It has happened many times and will happen again. MLB has whored after HS Players for longer than you have been alive. You pretend to know something about Baseball yet...

High school baseball players ( and college players) get drafted every year by MLB franchises......hundreds of them, but they do not appear on MLB rosters before spending multiple seasons on the teams' assorted farm clubs...the very best prospects only, BTW. Hero, how come you are the only sports fan in the entire Western hemisphere that doesn't know this ??
