I really don't know where North Carolina is at concerning all of the expansion stuff
They are like a Texas that decided to never leave the SWC...or maybe a Stanford or Cal, that really thought they were so superior to all other schools that they were invincible
North Carolina is one of the few universities right now that could get into the Big 10 or SEC
IMO, the top 3 expansion candidates remaining are:
Notre Dame FSU North Carolina
Do they really just want to stay in Tobacco Road land? They would have a chair at the top

Further more, if we did hear Oregon/Washington/FSU/Clemson to the B1G soon...
I can't imagine the SEC and ESPN staying put...North Carolina would be a prime target immediately.
I could see North Carolina + 1 going to the SEC incredibly fast
+ 1 is probably Virginia or Virginia Tech, and then pause at 18

As far as UNC goes, they, along with NC State, were part of "the Seven" that tried end the GOR. Carolina does have a superior feel for themselves, but are also realists. IMHO, they would like to keep the ACC going and increase the revenue somehow. This would keep together their rivalries intact and keep the fan base and alums happy with that. I think most fans, of ALL schools, ain't happy with the loss of rivals and geographic expansion of the conferences. Carolina admin, though, will jump ship to either the SEC or Big Ten if that is the best option for them.

If the SEC has an opportunity North Carolina would be a prime target. A school from Ohio would be nice. I always saw Oregon and Washington following USC and UCLA.

I see a lot of fantasy expansion takes with North Carolina and Virginia going to the SEC or B1G What I don't see is ANY rhetoric by either school

Please take Va Tech, SEC administrators, and add the mega lucrative TV market of Blacksburg, Va because all dirt roads lead to Blacksburg.
