I've been playing Fantasy Football for 30 years, since 1993. One thing I've learned over the years is, You CANNOT be a "homer" when it comes to evaluating talent.
This year, Bijan Robinson is being projected as a Top 8 draft pick for fantasy. That means, in one league... I'm almost certain to have shot at drafting him. But, I'm not sure I want to?
I love his game. He's quick, strong... can break tackles. Can catch the ball. I think he would have won the Heisman easily last year, except for the presence of Rochon Johnson... another REALLY good Rb.
I'm not that worried about Bijan's talent. I'm more concerned about the Falcons, and how they use talent. They have Tyler Algeire... I think they will split time, limiting Bijan's points. I don't think he's worthy of a FIRST, or even second round fantasy pick. Maybe, a 3rd?
Am I being overly cautious? Do ya'll think he's going to do even better?

I haven't had a chance to see the Falcons but coaching philosophy can overcome common sense.

I would take Jefferson and Chase ahead of him. After that it depends on what is important to you. Then maybe McCaffrey. After that it is a crap shoot and could see Bijan go next. I am in a dynasty league. Had horrible team last year and was able to get him. Even if it is a homer it seems like a good pick to me.

Chase cost me a title last year. He missed the last 5 games of the fantasy season.
I had McCaffrey, and loved him. No way I’d draft Bijan ahead of him… not this year anyway.
I might risk a 2nd round pick, if he’s there. I have to have proven players in Rd1

I recorded Falcons/Cincy. Bijan was in early with the 1s. The Falcons looked pretty good on offense. Blocking was OK with the 1s in the game. Offense was diverse enough to spread the D. Bijan looked quick and decisive with some elusiveness. The staff appeared to want to test him in various situations, ran wide, inside, caught a pass. When the 1s were out I don’t remember seeing him again. If I had to guess I'd say they have plans for him.
The first half of game three should tell us more.

I saw the replays of his catch, and the one longer run. Looked like Bijan to me! 🤗. No one ran the ball more than Atlanta last year. Even if they split time, he should have a good year. I worry just a bit about goal line usage though. Etienne is goin to have that problem. The Jag drafted Bigsby with TD vulturing in mind.

The problem he had was up the middle which certainly brings up the goal line question. They have options including a strong TE and the QB is mobile.
