At the Shoe yesterday. Is the Buckeyes defense that good or is the PSU offense not all that. From what I saw the coverage from tOSU was very good. One observation is that when PSU did have open receivers Drew Aller just missed them. Keep in mind those situations were few and far between. PSU was completely shut down in the second half with the exception of the garbage time TD. tOSU and ttun I think cruise there way into the season finale.
Washington looked very unimpressive. They join the pretty party in the selection process if we have 5 unbeaten P5 teams. P12 seems wide open.
Texas struggles with Houston and Oklahoma with UCF not helping the B12
Is UGA getting to a must win out situation to get in? The 2 teams that nearly took down UGA do not look good. SoCar 2-5 and Auburn 3-4. With UT going down, they could be undefeated in the SEC CCG without a top 25 win.
FSU continues to march on after a tight 3 quarters with Duke.

Keep an eye on Oregon. I think they have the right team to sneak back into the playoffs. They need to go into Utah this weekend and lay the wood on the Utes
Also, I no longer trust the Big XII to make it. Ya, Oklahoma is undefeated...I don't know how much longer that lasts

It was unfortunate the Duke QB was injured. Had he stayed in the game it may have gone down to the wire. I also thought Elko made a bad decision not taking the points with a cold back-up in the game. The play was there but the moment was too big at that point. USC will lose at least 2, maybe 3 more games. I think Williams is worn out - he hasn't looked good the past couple weeks. Think about it, a walk on QB who's a pig farmer beat the reigning Heisman winner in his stadium. Not good. For Iowa, the party isn't over - they were not even invited to the party. They need an overhaul, Frerentz isn't changing his ways. They are the most boring, unimaginative offensive team in college football which is a shame because they play pretty solid defense.

Possibly so but they deserve it. A ref explained last night that as the rule is written, it was the correct call. I've never seen it called like that but I've seen other odd circumstances on fair catches. It's like targeting - as written its pretty black and white and no room for common sense to take over, especially when the player being tackled lowers his head into the patch of a defender who has already initiated his move to tackle. It's bang bang and a defender cant anticipate where a defender is going to duck his head.
As for Iowa - they deserve this. Frerentz wasn't man enough to fire his son and negotiated an extra year. They need to average 25 ppints a game for his son is out (as should be he). Right now they are the lowest scoring team in the Big Ten and about 115th in the country. To me, they just threw away a year.

I don't get it? There was NO fair catch signal given. Why was it called back?

I don't get it? There was NO fair catch signal given. Why was it called back? Original review was to see if returner stepped out. Booth called something that was not called on the field.
