Dabo let a caller rally have it on the call-in show yesterday.
The caller (Tyler) basically made his points, and then made it very personal about Dabo's worth. And Dabo responded with probably more heat than we have seen in him in a while.
Hey at $11 million a year and a huge buyout, you should expect some heat when "best is the standard" falls to 4-4.
Tyler had some legit criticisms, but when he made it personal - IMO he crossed a line. I think social media is to blame. Some go too far. Did both Tyler and Dabo go too far? Maybe so.
Some of the current fans never lived thru the Hatfield and West eras. Hatfield basically bled the cupboard dry from Danny's recruits and the West era saw some of the worst Clemson football.
Questioning Dabo's worth was out of line, given what he has brought to the University and the community.

I would agree about the social media attitude. The college football fan IQ on social media is low IMO, and recency bias is very strong.
Dabo has some stuff to figure out no doubt. But its hard to stay on top of the mountain. What Clemson did from 2015-2020 is what most programs dream of.
My thing is, when you look at how Dabo got to the top, it was with great QBs and excellent WRs
Despite Brent Venables leaving, the Defensive is still a monster. Its the toughest defense FSU has faced all season (and that will include Miami FL and Florida too)
Clemson has kept all of their games as relatively low-scoring affairs. Dabo has got to get some talent in the QB and WR positions. The easiest way to do that is the transfer portal.

Lots of fumbles inside the opponents 5 yard line. While it may be true that we have missed on 2 consecutive QBs (DJ and Cade), you are correct that CLemson has missed that elite, alpha WR, too. And O-line has never been as soft as I have seen this year. If you can't run bloclk or pass block, all the skill players in the world might not make much of a difference. I agree with what you said.

A lot of pressure on these guys. At least he went after a caller and not an 86 year old who hasn’t coached in 20 years. Seriously, don’t let ‘em see you sweat, Dabo - you played right into Tyler’s hand.
