As I have been telling friends, the upcoming presidential election is likely to have significant impact, especially considering that the newly elected president may appoint at least one and possibly 4 Supreme Court Justices.
This is absolutely a critical factor.

With Bobby Jindal out of the race, Ted Cruz is the only reasonable candidate left in either party. I could live with Rubio, but the rest -- Yuck.

I would also have no problem with him being AGUS, and then off to SCOTUS to fill a vacancy. He would be a nice upgrade from Ginsberg.

I don't like Cruz. He's a partisan bulldog and brings with him way too much ill will. I don't like his chances in the general election and I think he won't be able to get anything through Congress. Too many enemies.
Hillary is a sociopath. She will say or do anything to win.
Trump is a self-obsessed narcissist blowhard.
Bernie Sanders actually seems like a real person. I don't agree with a lot of his economic policies, but I think he is what he appears to be. He's like a crazy old college professor.
None of the Republicans I like have a hope in hell of getting the nomination.

I don't believe he expected to be doing as well as he is.
When he travels AMTRAK to/from DC, he takes the regional, not the Acela, he has no entourage and carries his own bags.

I like Trump because the Democrats hate him, the Republicans hate him, the media hates him, the Muslims hate him and the Mexicans hate him...sounds like my kind of guy.

Agree, all of Washington has become to entrenched and lazy...need someone to stir the pot a little.

I think Jindal had one of the best Trump quips yet after hearing Trump's claim of reading the Bible often. ..."He doesn't read the Bible because he's not in the Bible "

American culture – and now politics – has become as thin as cellophane. The only question left is who gets the JayZ endorsement?

Trump lost me when he mocked a handicapped reporter, ridiculed Carly Fiorina's face, and made disparaging comments about Charles Krauthammer, Megan Kelly and a host of others of high accomplishment.
He acts childish and petulant. There office of president should be served with dignity, something that seems to be in short supply when it comes to Donald Trump.

If we get 4 more Kagans or Sotomayors on SCOTUS, this country will be lost forever.

> office of the President should be served with dignity
Like improper handling of compartmented data and then blatantly lying about it. Or using the IRS, FBI, etc. to target political opponents. Or lying about and covering up an utter and complete failure in Libya.
Trump is a buffoon. But, I don't seem him as any less dignified than Hillary.
> If we get 4 more Kagans or Sotomayors on SCOTUS, this country will be lost forever.
No kidding. We already have a POTUS that disregards the rule of law and a Congress that refuses to rein him in. If we added a SCOTUS that disregards the Constitution any more than they already do, there really is no country left, is there.

I really believe we are at the precipice, 20-30 years of socialist indoctrination at our colleges is having the desired effect.
Everything is a "right"...there are no privileges, that would not be "fair". Instead of equal opportunities, we now provide equal outcomes.
No one wants to work, because we've made working worth less than sponging.
Everything that has been done lately, is all to change the demographics...if you can't change the voters' minds...change the voters...

Hillary could talk for a year and not produce that much truth. Well said
