So the topic many media and social media talking heads are talking about is Washington jumping FSU
I absolutely think Washington will jump FSU in the rankings. I also know (and can do simple math), that its a meaningless move, because the Ohio State/Michigan loser will create a spot. DUH
ALSO, we all know that if FSU and Washington win out, they are IN
The ONLY team that benefits from this jump is Oregon, as it provides a little more schedule ooomph for them

Simple math problem for media:
There are 5 undefeated teams
2 of the undefeated teams play each other
How many undefeated teams are left?

The media can't do math. They've proven it over time

How in the hell is Tennessee still ranked after consecutive 28 points losses?

Pretty simple. You got a 0 in the L column at the end of next weekend you are 100% in. Pecking order with the 1 loss teams. Oregon is almost guaranteed a shot with a win. Every other team with one loss needs help. 1 Oregon 2 Texas (or at least should be) 3 Bama 4 tOSU 5 UGA 6 Washington 7 ttun 8 Louisville 9 FSU
I think FSU has a pretty good shot to run the table and take a spot. BIG and P12 both seem like to each claim a spot. In this scenario you could have 3 1 loss teams (UGA, BAMA, TEXAS) UGA would not have a conference championship, Texas has the head to head over Bama. This scenario could actually leave the SEC on the sidelines.

I think it will be hard for the committee to move Texas ahead of Oregon. Oregon is already is ahead of Texas and will have a game vs a higher rated opponent than what Texas will get in the CCG.

ESPN owns the CFP........paid something like 485 million for it , and being in the sports/entertainment business for profit, of course the 'eyeball' draw will be a factor. I suspect plenty of lobbying and also plenty of lobbying for a 1 loss SEC champion should that occur.

Joey Galloway on the CFP rankings show nailed it...
why aren't both Washington and FSU ahead of Michigan, who has played nobody. 1 good win against Penn St. Struggled with Maryland
