The first Ohio State vs Michigan game I watched was in 1969; I was 11. The Buckeyes had won the previous year 50-14 on their way to the National Championship and were on a 23 game winning streak. Unfortunately, the streak would end as Bo Schembechler and the Wolverines pulled off one of the biggest upsets in Big Ten history, beating the Buckeyes 24-12. The 10 Year War was on.
My record in the OSU/UM series is 28-23-2. I've been to many of the games live and the games I didn't attend, I obviously watched. There have been heart-stopping wins, gut wrenching losses and with each year my disdain for the Wolverines intensifies. Given the sign stealing news of the past 3 or 4 weeks I don't think I've ever hated them more. It's the smugness, the cockiness, the holier than thou arrogance and the audacity to try and play the victim as a result of this self-imposed, sad and pathetic scandal. Their president and BOT should be embarrassed. But they don't care - they need to put the focus back on the kids who benefited from their coaches illegal tactics. They talk about integrity but obviously have no idea what it means. Their coach will serve suspensions for half the season but their fans think he's being railroaded. It's a new low.
I have no idea what's going to happen on Saturday but my hope is the Buckeyes knock the cocky grins off the Wolverines faces. Similar to what Joe Pesci said in My Cousin Vinny - they could use a good ass-kicking!
Go Bucks!!!

The hatred for ttun has certainly reached a pinnacle primarily becuase of everything you stated regarding the last month. Cockiness and smugness pretty much says it all. I will be heading up that way with my family and extended family who live about 15 minutes away from the staduim. Still don't have tickets yet but knowing my son we will find a way to get in the cesspool.

I'm sure I was watching that game in 1969, and cheering for TTUN (sorry). 1969 was the year I fell in love with college football too. I was already watching in earlier years. I remember 1968, when Texas first changed to the Wishbone. But, it was the 1969 Championship season that stamped me for life. Good Luck this weekend. I don't think I've ever wanted to Buckeyes to win a game more. :-)

I think most of America will be pulling for the Buckeyes this weekend.
