That is a question people here have been asking for a year. I have no doubt now, the answer is YES! He already has. This program was dead. Now, it has life. The loss to Kentucky was devastating, for sure. But, this team won’t give up easily.
People forget just how bad it’s been here. UL had become a joke … a real cupcake. Jeff Brohm changed the attitude.
Twice this season, the Cards have had AWFUL quarters, where they were out scored 28-0. In both cases, the team rebounded and won the game. What Brohm is BEST at, I think … is inspiring a team when times are tough.
This season has been nothing short of fairy tale story for the people here. At the peak of their success, just after thrashing Notre Dame, they laid an inexcusable egg against Pittsburg. They rebuilt the confidence with big wins down the stretch, especially against Miami. Then, Stoops came to town with a purpose, a plan, and a good team playing with a chip on their shoulder. They were ready to walk through walls for a coach they loved. It was one for the ages.
Luckily, Brohm gets one chance to right the wrong and reclaim the magical first season. He gets a game against a weakened opponent, but one that everyone still expects to easily win. Talk about lucky ? He has everything he needs to pull one more rabbit from the hat.
FSU has better players… no doubt. They are also coached well, for sure. But, they’ll be playing against destiny. Brohm knows football. He knows what he’s up against. And he has a team that still fully believes in the mission .
Personally, I’ll be shocked, and saddened if Louisville doesn’t find a way to win.
It will be one hell of a football game. I’m sure about that. Both teams, towns, and fans REALLY want to win this game.
