Can Alabama beat Georgia?
Yes, I think they have a decent shot to beat Georgia
Go look at Georgia's schedule again, its atrocious:
The 3 biggest wins are Tennessee, Ole Miss, and Mizzou. Mizzou is actually having a good year this year. I find Tennessee and Ole Miss to be vastly overrated, with Tennessee getting destroyed down the stretch. Why are they still ranked?
I also find the relatively close game against Georgia Tech concerning.
Ya, they'll be ready to play Saturday. And you could say alot of the same stuff about Alabama quite frankly and how they've performed throughout the season. But Beck might actually see a real defense for once. In close games, Saban has a coaching edge that you just don't see much in college football.
I predict Alabama will come out strong and punch them in the face, maybe with 14-0 lead. How will THIS version of Georgia, not Stetson Bennett, but skinny Beck that has been feasting on cupcakes, respond?
Georgia has the talent to beat Alabama. I just don't know how the Bulldogs will react when they get punched in the face. They've been told how great they are for two years...time to prove it in 2023

ESPN just posted a staff article saying g that “Bama’s win has put the committee in a lose-lose situation”
Like we are supposed to feel sorry for the committee.

Why would it be a lose-lose situation? Three undefeated P5 champions. Then, you are comparing two 12-1 conference champions with a head-head result for a tie-breaker. Seems pretty simple.
Rose: Michigan-Texas Sugar: UW-FSU

Rose: Michigan-Texas Sugar: UW-FSU I agree. Pretty simple. Sad part is; FSU is the team that doesn’t belong in the playoffs. This was a pathetic performance against a not very good Louisville team. No one will miss this crappy system after this year

Then both Bama and UGA went down to the wire versus Auburn that lost to NM St by 21 home. And finally head to head ACC was 6 - 4 4 against the SEC. The SEC has not earned the right to participate in this post season exhibition but I am sure the ESPN network will do the necessary lobbying to make sure the have a seat at the table.

We beat Bama, at their home, by double digits.
If we play again, we’ll beat them again.
Frankly, I’d MUCH rather play FSU, or Michigan, or Washington.
What does that say about this system ?
Oh well. We WON the Big 12 Conference for the first time in 13 years. I can’t be too unhappy.
I think H2H trumps all in a tie. The committee has always claimed this. We’ll see whether they hold true to their own standard.

Saying H2H doesn't matter is like saying the games don't matter.
Texas now has THE single best win in college football...but lets see how asinine things get

i would not be shocked if the top 4 are Michigan, Washington, Alabama and Georgia. I'd love to hear the committee explain this decision. At the same time, I don't want Michigan to win it all and if the final four are Michigan, Washington, Texas and FSU I think they will. Georgia and Alabama can beat Michigan and probably would. Still, it would be fun to watch the outrage if Alabama and Georgia are left out.

Me too, especially given how pathetic UGAs schedule was - GT was their top OOC team, along with UT Martin, Ball State, UAB?? Coupled w/a weak SEC schedule. UGA was schedulled to play OK, but SEC made them cancel. Funny, Texas and Bama didn't have to cancel. Further, if Bama is left out, it could discourage scheduloing more meaningful OOC games.

Well, what about FSU? They scheduled 2 SEC teams. Funny how this OOC issue is only coming up in regards to Alabama.
Michigan and Georgia schedule absolutely NO ONE OOC, played extremely easy schedules, and have been given the benefit of the doubt all year long

FSU deserves a bid - they did everything they were asked to do and played a far more difficult OOC schedule than Michigan. It would be a slap in the face if they're left out, regardless of the QB situation.

Consider at this point, the SEC's biggest win is Louisville.
